Department of Internal Medicine with a Course in Gastroenterology

The Department of Internal Medicine with a Course in Gastroenterology is one of the oldest therapeutic departments in Ukraine, Europe, and the world.

The updated department was established on January 1, 2026, through the merger of the Department of Internal Medicine №1 and the Department of Internal Medicine №4.

The main areas of the department’s activity are gastroenterology and endoscopy.

At the undergraduate level, teaching is provided in the following disciplines: “Internal Medicine” for students enrolled in specialties I2 “Medicine,” I3 “Pediatrics,” I4 “Medical Psychology,” I8 “Pharmacy,” and I6 “Medical Diagnostic and Treatment Technologies.”

At the postgraduate level, training is provided in specialization courses in “Gastroenterology” and “Endoscopy,” as well as thematic advanced training courses within the specialties of “Gastroenterology” and “Endoscopy.”
