Responsibilities of the International Relations Department:

  • Promotion of international cooperation between NMU and foreign educational, scientific and health institutions, reporting in this field;
  • Initiation of active cooperation with other foreign medical universities within the international grant exchange programs;
  • Monitoring and search for new grants and educational programs on academic mobility, involvement of students and academic staff in international educational and scientific projects;
  • Providing students and academic staff with information on planned international events; assisting with organizational and documentation issues;
  • Signing of new international cooperation agreements and memorandums, keeping records and control over their implementation;
  • Arranging meetings for international delegations, writing scripts and programs of their visits to educational and clinical bases;
  • Business correspondence and negotiation with foreign partners regarding mutual collaboration and planned visits;
  • Paperwork, translation and registration of incoming and outgoing documents sent abroad;
  • Collaboration with Embassies and other Foreign Missions on educational and scientific matters and development of international partnership between countries in these fields;
  • Issuance of travel orders abroad, in order to represent the University in scientific and educational activities; forming annual reports on the number of business trips completed;
  • Preparation of necessary documentation and response to requests from the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Embassies and other Foreign Missions in Ukraine in order to confirm the authenticity (legalization) of educational documents;
  • Arranging the English-Speaking Form of Training (ESFT) aimed at improving the teaching in English to foreign students. Preparation of monthly reports and keeping a record of certificates of English language proficiency by the ESFT teachers;
  • Coordination and promotion of courses on improving English language proficiency by ESFT teachers at the Foreign Language Department of NMU and outside the University.
