History of the club (creation date)
The student’s scientific club at the department was created by B.M. Mankivsky in 1922.

- Famous members of the club
Among former members of the circle are more than 30 doctors and candidates of medical sciences. The members of student’s circle were professor I.F. Kryvoruchko, doctors of medical science Z.M. Drachova, B.B. Zapadnuyk, L.I. Sokolova who worked or still are working at the department. Every year 25-30 students of different years of studying participate at the circle meeting. Only for the last 3 years at the annual scientific student conferences in NMU, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Moscow and St. Petersburg were presented about 60 reports, many reporters took prizes.

ð Other: discussion of topics selected for the analysis in format “What? Where? When?”
Meetings of the scientific circle in the fall semester are based in the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital №4, Solomenska str. 17; in the spring semester – Oleksandrivska Clinical Hospital, Shovkovychna str. 39/1, building 10, 8th flour. Start of the session is at 16.00.
The main directions of activities of the circle:
– the general meeting on current issues of neurology with demonstrating clinical cases and collated in order to deepen students’ knowledge in the discipline;
– performances of students with a literature review on the subject of meetings;
– independent work of students on the bases of the department under the supervision of curators;
– improving practical skills in neurology;
– mastering the methodology of research and mastering basic knowledge for the analysis of the results of scientific research;
– organization and conduct breakout sessions annual international scientific and practical congress of students and young scientists;
– help members in preparation for publication of abstracts, articles and reports;
– carrying out neurological “What? Where? When?”;
– participation in joint meetings of student science circles of the Bogomolets NMU.
Research work is conducted at clinical bases of the Neurology department:

– Kyiv City Clinical Hospital №3, P. Zaporozhets str. 26;
Additional research studies that are performed: ultrasound examination of the brain vessels, electroencephalographic study of the brain, electroneuromyography.
