The Unified State Qualification Exam (USQE)

The Unified State Qualification Exam (USQE):

  1. The stages of conducting of the USQE and the components of each stage are determined by the Resolution of the CMU of March 28, 2018 No. 334 “On approval of the Procedure for conducting a Unified State Qualification Exam for holders of a master’s degree in the field of knowledge “22 Health Care”.
  2. The integrated test exam “KROK” is a test component of the Unified State Qualification Exam for applicants for a master’s degree in the field of knowledge 22 “Health Care”.

The exam is conducted in one or two test stages – “KROK 1” and “KROK 2”.

At the first stage, the level of professional competence in general scientific (fundamental) disciplines is assessed.

At the second stage, the level of professional competence in professionally oriented (clinical) disciplines is assessed.

Information about the result of the candidate’s passing the exam is entered by the Testing Center into the Unified State Electronic Educational Database, and is also noted in the Diploma Supplement.

The procedure for the USQE consists of:

KROK 1 – in the third year of study for students of the specialties “Stomatology”, “Medicine”, “Medical Psychology”, “Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy”, “Pediatrics”;

KROK 2 – in the fifth year of study for students of the specialties “Stomatology”, “Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy” and in the sixth year of study for students of the specialties “Medicine”, “Medical Psychology”, “Pediatrics”.

  1. The USQE, Stage 2 (KROK 2)
  • The procedure for registering for the exam, exam procedures and providing its results is given on the website of the Testing Center at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
  • The methodological basis of preparation for the exam in Bogomolets National Medical University is testing on the platform Likar https://likar.nmuofficial.com/, which is conducted from October to April of each academic year in accordance with the schedule drawn up by the dean’s office. Educational and control testing modes are used. The results of the final control testing are subject to processing and analysis with further formation of risk groups of students who need additional training.
