Organizational and educational work at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 3

Under education in a broad sense, a purposeful process of forming the spirituality, culture and physical condition of a student’s personality, preparing him for life, active participation in work as a specialist is assumed. The professional and pedagogical activities of the department staff under the leadership of the head of the department Professor Vasyl Oleksiiovych Beniuk are aimed at promoting the comprehensive development of students, interns and postgraduate students of the department, the organic entry of young people into the context of modern culture, and their formation as subjects and strategists of their own lives.

The change in the conditions of the functioning of the higher school of our State, a critical review of the ideological orientation of future specialists require the differentiation of forms and methods of educational work of pedagogical staff and higher educational institutions. The current stage of development of our country requires a more in-depth approach to the training of specialists. Education and education of students is a creative business that requires a lot of dedication and responsibility from both the teachers of the university’s departments and the students. The rectorate, dean’s office, academic groups, as well as their mentors – teachers – and, of course, the family, take part in the process of education. The education process should be organically combined with the learning process, students’ mastery of the basics of science, the wealth of national and world culture. The essence of education, in our opinion, is that in its process the worldview, morals and high aesthetic tastes of young people are formed.

The main goal of national education is the acquisition of social experience by the young generation, their inheritance of the spiritual heritage of the Ukrainian people, the achievement of a high culture of inter-ethnic relations, the formation in young people, regardless of their national affiliation, of the traits of a citizen of the Ukrainian state, the development of spirituality, moral, artistic-aesthetic, legal, labor , ecological culture.

As emphasized in the “National Development Doctrine of Ukraine”, the priority direction in its implementation is the formation of an individual who is aware of his belonging to the Ukrainian people, modern European civilization, the education of a person with a democratic worldview who respects legal freedoms, the traditions of the peoples and cultures of the world, national, religious, each person’s language choice, given the multinational composition of students at O.O. Bogomolets.

As you know, WHO has declared a pandemic in connection with the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus in the world. According to the order of the rectorate of O.O. Bogomolets from March 11, 2020, the department implemented measures to strengthen the anti-epidemic regime and maintain the mental health of students and employees of the university, developed and implemented measures for conducting practical classes, a lecture course, and the work of a scientific student group using remote technologies.

Regarding the distance form of the educational process, professor V.O. Beniuk noted: “We really hope that the students will soon return to their classrooms. Despite the fact that we were ready for distance learning and used its elements in the educational process long before the quarantine, we want to see our students directly at the department, in the clinic. I firmly believe that in medicine there should be direct communication between the teacher, student and patient. We understand the situation well, so we perceive it as temporary and forced.”

The educational process at the department continues. Here, they work every day on improving the distance learning method. “The experience of remote learning will be useful for students’ independent work in the future,” concludes the head teacher, Professor O.A. Dyndar, that’s why we are improving this process and at the same time we want the quarantine to end and we are waiting for our pets in the clinic.”

Blood is air, it is life! On the occasion of the World Donor Day, each of the willing students who studied at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 3 on the basis of the Medical Center No. 3 could join the celebration and share their blood with those who need it so much. Promotion of donation and participation in this charity program are an integral part of the moral principles of a doctor, a future doctor and a medical worker, which is due to the kindness, conscious humanism, and mercy of people who selflessly donate their blood to the sick.

All the not-so-pleasant feelings during blood donation, inconveniences are replaced by the realization that your blood saves lives and helps doctors to treat, and patients to be treated and save their lives!
