STUDENT SCIENTIFIC CLUB

The head of the group is Leonid Leonidovich Pavlovsky, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

Our club aims to involve students in the consideration of topical problems of modern medicine, teach them to use evidence-based sources of information, differentiate similar diseases, and also get as close to practice as possible! At the meetings, trainings are held using ultrasound in the practice of a general practitioner, ECG registration and data interpretation are taught. Students have the opportunity to practice in health care institutions (Kyiv City Clinical Hospital 18, University Clinic, Oncology Clinic “Innovation”). Other employees of the department also join the classes with club members, who talk about interesting clinical cases, teach how to correctly analyze the data of additional studies and determine tactical issues in accordance with the algorithm of treatment of these patients. The club at our department is a great opportunity for everyone who wants to be the foundation in writing scientific papers and publishing them in professional journals.

The main directions of the club’s work:

• Discussion of the most pressing issues of internal medicine
• Preparation of reports and presentations of the leader and members of the circle;
• Supervision of patients, development of all practical skills and analysis of medical histories;
• Interpretation of the results of laboratory and instrumental research methods;
• Analysis of complex clinical cases.

The club is held in a face-to-face and online format so that everyone can join the meetings.

The venue of the meetings is Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 18, 17 Taras Shevchenko Boulevard.

The frequency of meetings is 1-2 times a month.
