Olena Khaustova – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor. Master of Management Sociology and PR. Psychiatrist of the highest category. Vice-President of the Ukrainian Association of Psychosomatic Medicine.

Publications: 422 papers, including 12 manuals in psychiatry and medical psychology, 9 monographs, 9 methodological recommendations, 7 popular science publications in psychiatry and medical psychology for patients, etc. Olena Khaustova has prepared 7 PhD students in psychiatry and medical psychology subspecialties.

PhD thesis: “The maladaptive psyche reactions in locomotive crew workers” defended in 1993. Doctoral dissertation “Mental and psychosomatic disorders in patients with metabolic syndrome X: diagnosis, clinic, prevention, treatment” defended in 2007.

Tsira Abdriakhimova – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor; Certified group analyst, supervisor and psychodrama therapist.

Member of the Ukrainian Association of Psychosomatic Medicine.

Graduated from Donetsk National Medical University (former – M.Gorky State Medical University) in 1996 (Ukraine).

In 2003 defended her PhD thesis “Early diagnosis, clinical features, prevention and correction of neurotic stress disorders in lyceum students”, in 2015 defended doctoral dissertation “Non-psychotic mental disorders due to significant somatic health impairment: an example of partial traumatic genesis loss of vision”

Author of 137 scientific papers.

 

 

 

     

Iryna Koval – Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor. Member of the Ukrainian Union of Psychotherapists, full member of the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP); member of the Ukrainian Association of Psychosomatic Medicine. Dr. Koval was awarded by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine by Certificate of Honor.

Graduated from Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University (former – Lviv State Medical Institute) in 1986 (Ukraine).

In 1988-90, 1991-94 studied at Sigmund Freud University (SFU) in Vienna (Austria), in 1990-91 – at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University in New York (USA). In 2000 obtained the higher education degree in psychology.

In 2003 Iryna Koval defended her thesis for the Candidate of Science degree, 2007 – received a rank of associate professor. The doctoral dissertation “Medical-psychological paradigm of somatic patients’ curation with comorbid mental pathologies” was defended in 2018.

Used to work at the Department of General and Medical Psychology and Pedagogy, since 2015 works as an Associate Professor at the Medical Psychology, Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy Department.

Author of 200 printed works, including 3 manuals. Co-author of “Medical Psychology” textbook. Co-author of a typical “Medical Psychology” curriculum and a typical curriculum for trainees in “Medical Psychology”. Author and co-author of a significant number of new curricula and methodological manuals.

 

 

 

   

Vitaliy Omelyanovych – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor. Member of the Ukrainian Association of Psychosomatic Medicine.

In 1994 graduated from Donetsk National Medical University (former – M.Gorky State Medical Institute), specialty “General Medicine”.

Obtained Doctor of Medical Sciences degree in 2013; Professor degree – in 2019.

PhD thesis: “Post-traumatic stress disorders in internal affairs officers: early diagnosis and psychoprophylaxis”.

Doctoral dissertation: “Service-related psychological adaptation disorders in internal affairs agencies: gender, pathogenetic mechanisms, system of psychocorrection and psychoprophylaxis” (2013).

 

 

Oleg Chaban – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine. President of the Ukrainian Association of Psychosomatic Medicine, First Vice-President of the Association of  Psychotherapists and Psychoanalysts of Ukraine, Scientific Chief of the Institute for Social Research and Psychotherapy (Ukraine); Member of the Association of Psychotherapists of Ukraine; Certified Psychoanalyst of the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP), American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA), International Association of Group Psychotherapy (IAGP), Official Delegate from Ukraine of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (EFPP).

Publications: 360 papers, including 3 textbooks on psychiatry and medical psychology, 1 teaching CD, 2 monographs, etc.

In 1997 Prof. Chaban defended his doctoral dissertation “Pathomorphosis of neuroses (clinical-psychopathological, social-psychological and constitutional-biological mechanisms)”.

 

 

Associate Professors

 

      

Azize Asanova – Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor. Member of the Ukrainian Association of Psychosomatic Medicine.

In 2005 graduated from the Georgievsky Crimean State Medical University (S.I .Georgievsky CSMU, since 2014 under Russian annexation – the Medical Academy named after S. I. Georgievsky of Vernadsky Crimea Federal University). Internship and clinical residency in psychiatry at the S.I.Georgievsky CSMU (2005-2009).

From 2010 to 2012 – worked as an Assistant Professor of the department of psychiatry and psychotherapy at the S.I. Georgievsky CSMU. In 2012-2015 – physician-psychiatrist at the Crimean Republican Institution “Clinical Psychiatric Hospital № 1″.

Dr. Asanova obtained Specialization in psychotherapy at the P.L. Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (NMAPE) in 2017.

PhD thesis:”Cognitive impairment in patients with depressive disorders: clinical and psychopathological features and therapy” defended in 2010.

 

 

 

 

     

Inna Mukharovska – Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department, physician-psychologist (2d category). Full member of the Ukrainian Union of Psychotherapists, member of the Ukrainian Association of Psychosomatic Medicine.

Graduated from the Bogomolets National Medical University (O.O.Bogomolets’ NMU) in 2007.

Participant of the Ukrainian Union of Psychotherapists project in the field of client-centered psychotherapy and numerous international projects: Psychiatry Summer School “Mental health care in Europe – innovation and evaluation” (Germany – Poland – Ukraine, 2011-2013); “Psycho-oncology based on psychoanalytic approach” (Germany – Ukraine, 2011-2013).

Author of 64 publications, including 35 articles, co-author of one methodical recommendation, author of psychoeducational materials on psycho-oncology considering the psychological support, communication with cancer patients, diagnosis, emotional burnout.

PhD thesis: “Medical and psychological assistance to care providers for incurable cancer patients under palliative care” defended in 2012.

Doctoral dissertation “Psycho-emotional disorders clinical and psychological characteristics and system of medical-psychological correction and support in oncological practice: phenomenology, mechanisms of psychopathogenesis and adaptation model of psycho-oncological care” defended in 2018.

 

 

 

 

 

    

Galyna Naumenko – Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the DMPPM, physician-psychologist (2d category). Member of the Association of Psychotherapists and Psychoanalysts of Ukraine (APPU), full member of the Ukrainian Association of Psychosomatic Medicine.

In 2009 graduated from the Medical Psychological Faculty of the Bogomolets National Medical University (BNMU).

From 2011 to 2015 worked as a lecturer at the Department of General Psychology and Pedagogy of the BNMU. Since 2015 works at the DMPPM.

In 2014 obtained PhD in medical psychology.

PhD thesis: “Psychological maladaptation in women after surgical treatment of uterine leiomyoma: phenomenology, psychocorrection, mechanisms of development” defended in 2014.

Author of the 10 scientific papers published within her dissertation topic.

 

 

 

 

Lidiia Trachuk – Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor. Member of the Ukrainian Association of Physicians-Psychologists, European Association for Transactional Analysis, Ukrainian Association for Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy, member of the Ukrainian Association of Psychosomatic Medicine. Responsible for the clinical and consulting work of the DMPPM.

In 2010 graduated from the Medical Psychological Faculty of the BNMU, in 2011 has finished internship and obtained Master’s degree in the “medical psychology” specialty. From 2011 to 2015 – worked as a lecturer in the Department of General and Medical Psychology and Pedagogy of the BNMU. Since 2015 works at the DMPPM.

In 2014 defended her PhD thesis “Individual psychological determinants of increasing compliance in patients with hypertension”.

 

 

 

Assistant Professors

 

Vitalii Bezsheiko – Assistant Professor. Member of the Ukrainian Association of Psychosomatic Medicine.

Graduated from the Bogomolets National Medical University in 2009.

From 2011 to 2016 worked as a senior researcher at the Ukrainian Research Institute of Social and Forensic Psychiatry and Addiction of Ministry of Health of Ukraine (Kyiv). Since 2016 – an employee of DMPPM. Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the scientific medical journal “Psychosomatic Medicine and General Practice”. Since 2018 Dr. Bezsheiko is Data Specialist and Software Developer at International Public Knowledge Project. Research interests: psychotherapy, neuroscience, data science. Graduated of the Open World program – internships at universities and clinics in Los Angeles (2018). Author of 100 scientific publications, including 3 textbooks. Research interest – the treatment of stress related mental disorders. Engaged in the post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD) neurobiological correlates study.

 

 

 

 

 

Kateryna Kleban – Candidate of Medical Sciences, Assistant Professor. Member of the Ukrainian Association of Psychosomatic Medicine.

In 2001 graduated from Uzhgorod National University, “general medicine” specialty.

In 2002 completed an internship in internal diseases at the Uzhgorod Regional Clinical Hospital. Work experience in general medicine, in outpatient and inpatient units as a therapist.

In 2007 received her qualification in psychiatry. From 2007 to 2011 worked as a psychiatrist in the outpatient unit of the Kyiv Railway Clinical Hospital № 2.

In 2011-2014 PhD student of the full-time postgraduate course in psychiatry at the Ukrainian research institute of Social and Forensic Psychiatry and Narcology of Ministry of Health of Ukraine

In 2015 defended her Candidate of Medical Sciences degree dissertation “Chronobiological features of non-psychotic psychiatric disorders in patients with metabolic syndrome”.

 

 

 

     

Dariia Sapon – Candidate of Medical Sciences, Assistant Professor. Vice-President of the Ukrainian Association of Psychosomatic Medicine.

Graduated from the BNMUin 2003, in 2004 – internship in psychiatry specialty in the P.L.Shupyk  NMAPE.

In 2016 defended her PhD thesis “Anxiety-depressive disorders in chronic pain syndrome and fibromyalgia”.

Co-founder, physician of “Sofia” Medical Center, co-founder of the Public Organization “Security Space” and “Aware people”.

The author of 26 scientific publications, one monograph, participated in the writing of three methodological manuals.

 

 

 

 

 

Iryna Frankova -PhD, Assistant Professor. At the Department of Medical Psychology, Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy, Dr. Frankova is responsible for International Collaboration and Student Scientific Club. Board Member of the Group Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Section of the Association of Psychotherapists and Psychoanalysts of Ukraine (APPU), Certified group analyst of the APPU, Member of the Ukrainian Association of Psychosomatic Medicine. Co-chair of the working group Psychiatry across Borders “European Federation of Psychiatric Trainees” (EFPT), member of the Traumatic Stress Network of European College of Neuropsychopharmacology.

Physician-psychologist (2d category), work experience in the specialty – 10 years, as a consultant at the Kyiv Railway Clinical Hospital № 1 of Branch «Health Center» оf  JSC «Ukrainian Railway», psychoneurological department.

Sphere of scientific and practical expertise: psychotherapy of psychological trauma and stress related disorders, terror induced stress, prolonged social withdrawal, crisis conditions and psychosomatic disorders.

In 2019 defended her PhD thesis “Acute social withdrawal phenomenon in patients with neurotic disorders and non-pathological behavioral transformation”.

Author of 43 scientific publications, including 4 textbooks.
