Head of Department

Lytvynenko Nina Pavlivna

Doctor of Philology, Professor, Head of Department

She has two higher education degrees after graduating from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (specialty: Ukrainian Language and Literature, 1997) and Kherson Pedagogical Institute (specialty: Russian language and literature, 1981).

After completing her postgraduate studies at the Kyiv Pedagogical Institute in 1989, she defended her Ph.D. thesis and was awarded the title of Candidate of Philology.

In 2010 she defended her doctoral thesis on the topic «Modern Ukrainian medical discourse» at the specialized academic council of the Institute of Ukrainian Language of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

In 2013 she was awarded the academic title of professor.

In March 2019 she was elected Chairman of the Academic Council of the Faculty of Foreign Citizens Training.

She is the author of the monograph «Ukrainian Medical Discourse», 150 scientific and educational works, co-author of 25 textbooks and manuals, in particular «Specialist language of medicine», «Ukrainian medical terminology in the professional language of a doctor», «Medical term in linguistic aspect», «Ukrainian language (for professional purposes)» for native students and «Ukrainian language as a foreign language for English-speaking medical students», dictionaries «Medicine in terms and definitions», «Basic medical student dictionary», grammar guide «Let’s learn Ukrainian together», editor of practical courses for foreign language students created at the department.

Scientific interests: communicative-grammatical and sociolinguistic aspects of professional medical discourse, theory and methodology of teaching the Ukrainian language for professional orientation of domestic and foreign students of medical universities.

Anton Bozhuk

Lecturer of the Department

In 2009 graduated from Tavrida National V.I. Vernadsky University in Simferopol (Ukrainian studies faculty): master of philology, teacher of Ukrainian language and literature.

In September 2016 defended Ph.D. thesis “Poetics of Stepan Vasylchenko’s drama”.

In February 2018 was appointed as the teacher of Ukrainian language as foreign at the Department of Ukrainian Studies of Bogomolets National Medical University.

Participates in scientific conferences and has publications in professional journals.

Scientific interests: Ukrainian and local history, literature, cultural studies.

Svitlana Mykolaivna Barabash

Associate Professor of the Department

She has graduated from Vinnitsa State Pedagogical University named after M.Kotsiubinskiy in 2000.

Thesis’ theme is poetics of emotional prose in the works of M.Kozoris: genre and style aspects.

Science interests: New Ukrainian Literature, Teaching Methods of the Ukrainian Language and Literature.

Blidchenko-NaikoViktoriia

Associate Professor of the Department

She  graduated from National M. Dragomanov Pedagogic University.  In 2014,  in the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, she defended her Ph.D. thesis «Genre and artistic features of polyphonic prose in the Ukrainian Early Modernism».

She completed the international postgraduate practical internship «New and innovative teaching methods » of Public Administration University of Economics in Krakow.

She participates in conferences, has fourteen publications in professional journals.

 

Holinatyi Oleksii Petrovych

 Lecturer of the Department

In 2011 he received a Master’s Degree in Philology (Honors) from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.

In 2015 he received a degree of Candidate of Philological Sciences in specialty 10.02.01 – The Ukrainian language. The topic of a thesis: «The oykonyms of Kirovohrad region: historic-etymological and word formative aspects».

Since 2017 – Lecturer of the Department of Ukrainian Studies at the Bogomolets NMU.

The author of 12 scientific articles and participant in 9 international and all-Ukrainian conferences.

The main directions of scientific and practical work: onomastics, historical linguistics, derivatology, methods of teaching Eastern Slavic languages ​​as foreign languages.

Public activity: responsible for preparing students for philological competitions; lecturer of preparatory courses in the Ukrainian language for NMU entrants; organizer of foreign students’ futsal team “Cossacks” – the winner of internal and regional competitions.

 

 

Alla Volodymyrivna Zakharchenko

Associate professor of the Department

In 1998 graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv as qualified philologist, teacher of Ukrainian language and literature.

In 2007 Alla Volodymyrivna defended her thesis at the Institute of Philology Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Department of Modern Literature.

Thesis topic: “Ukrainian Drama of the end of XX – beginning of XXI century: Research for Ideological and Artistic Aspects (problems, genres, characters)”.

Since 2008 has been working as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Ukrainian Studies of Bogomolets National Medical University.

Alla Volodymyrivna has 15 scientific articles published in professional journals and she is a co-author of the textbook for foreign students.

Scientific interests: valeological problems in modern Ukrainian drama. The role of the socio-cultural aspect in the study of the Ukrainian as a foreign language.

 

 

 

Ivanenko Iryna

Associate professor of the Department

In 1987 she graduated from the Gorky Kyiv State Pedagogical Institute. She received the specialty 2111 “Defectology”, worked as a speech therapist.

She defended her dissertation “Ukrainian Logopedic Terminology: Structure, Semantics, Functioning” for the degree of Candidate of Philology in specialty 10.02.01 – Ukrainian language.

Since 2019 she has been working at the Department of Ukrainian Studies at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine as an Associate Professor.

She is the author of 40 published scientific papers in professional publications, approved by the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine and in foreign editions.

Scientific interests: terminology, stylistics and methods of teaching Ukrainian and Russian as a foreign language.

Ivanenko I.M. is the head of the Department of Ukrainian Philology and Art Studies of the Kyiv Junior Academy of Sciences of the Student Youth of the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of the KSCA of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Awarded: Certificate from the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Kulinska Yanina

Associate professor of the Department

Graduated from the Institute of Philology of the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University in 2003.  She has been working at the Department of Ukrainian Language since 2003.

Since 2008 till 2012 she is a graduate student of the Section of the Ukrainian Literature of the XX century, T.G. Shevchenko Institute of Literature, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, wrote Master’s Thesis “The typology of artistic situations in postmodern works of Yu. Andruhovych, V.Neborak, A. Irvanets.” She regularly participates in conferences, has 30 publications in professional journals.

 

Misnyk Nataliia

Associate professor of the Department

Total number of publications: more than 60, including the monograph “Formation of the Ukrainian Medical Clinical Terminology” (2002), the textbook “Medical professional language” (2001), the national textbook “Ukrainian as a foreign language for English medical students” (2020), the textbooks and medical dictionaries (co-authored).

 

Skybun Natalia Dmytrivna

Lecturer of the Department

In 2001 – graduated from the Faculty of Philology Makarenko Pedagogical University, Sumy, Ukraine.

From 2012 to 2016 – studied and graduated at the graduate school of Grinchenko University, Kyiv, Ukraine.

In June 2016 – defended her thesis for the degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences in the specialty 13.00.02 – Theory and Methodology of Teaching (Ukrainian) on the topic “Formation of professional speech competence of future specialists of tourist profile”

From 2016 to 2017 – worked as a Head of the Scientific Department of the Scientific Research Unit of Bogomolets National Medical University, Kyiv, Ukraine.

From November 2017 – selected as a lecturer in the Department of Ukrainian Studies by the competition.

Teaches subjects: “Ukrainian as a foreign language”, “Russian language as a foreign language”.

Author 13 and co-author 3 scientific and educational publications, including manuals for students of NMU.

 

Khomova Olena

Associate Professor of the Department

In 2004 graduated from the Faculty of Philology in the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University.

She has been working at the Department since 2004.

In 2012 she defended her PhD Thesis and obtained a PhD in Philology on the topic “Artistic Search in Ukrainian Postmodern Drama: Genres, Conflicts, Problems”. She is also an author of scientific works.

 

Shevel Natalia Oleksandrivna

Associate Professor of the Department

She is the Secretary of Scientific Counsel of the Faculty of Foreign Students Training.

She was graduated from National Pedagogical Dragomanov University with a Master Degree in Philology. She defended her Ph.D. thesis in Kyiv University named after B. Hrinchenko.

She has got more then 55 scientific works. N. O. Shevel is a co-author of 12 scientific and methodological textbooks in National Medical University.

She has served as an official opponent at scientific dissertation defense.

She has contributed a lot in University and Department development, arranging different events on occasion of conferences, creative activities and holidays celebration.

Her scientific interest is investigation of Early Ukrainian Modernism, the role of humanization in education to form personality of intending doctors at National Medical University.

 

Shevel Tamara Oleksandrivna

Associate Professor of the Department

She is in charge of educational and methodological process at this Department.

She graduated from National Pedagogical Dragomanov University, Faculty of Ukrainian Philology with a Master Degree in Philology.

After post-graduate studying at National Pedagogical Dragomanov University she defended her Ph.D. thesis in Philology.

She has got more then 50 scientific works. Tamara Oleksandrivna Shevel is a co-author of 10 scientific and methodological text books, which are widely used at National Medical University.

She has served as an official opponent at scientific dissertation defense. Tamara Oleksandrivna takes an active part in arranging students work at the Department.

Her scientific interest is Early Ukrainian Modernism Literature. She contributes a lot in investigating and developing intending doctors¢ communicative culture at National Medical University.

 

Yuzkiv Halyna

Associate Professor of the Department

In 1994 she graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Ternopil State Pedagogical Institute.

In 2008 she began working at the Department of Ukrainian Studies as a teacher. She has been working as an Associate Professor since 2018.

In 2012 she defended her thesis for the degree of the candidate of philological sciences on the topic”Petrarchism Constant in Ukrainian Love Lyrics (V. Sosiura, V. Symonenko, M. Vingranovskyi)” at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

She delivers a lecture on Ukrainian language (for professional purposes) and Ukrainian as a second language.

In 2019 she improved her professional career qualification at the Educational and Research Institute of Continuing Educationof National Pedagogical Dragomanov University under the program “Innovation in Teaching Ukrainian as a Second Language.”

Halyna Yuzkiv keeps constantly developing her professional competence and participating in international scientific conferences. She is the author of 20 scientific papers published in the professional publications approved by the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine.

Azarkh Karina Sergeevna

Lecturer of the Department

Graduated from L.N. Tolstoy state University in Grozny in 1986, specialty philologist. Has been working at the Department of Ukranian studies since 1996, has 20 scientific papers, compiler of educational programs and methodological literature for foreign students I-V courses.

Passed qualification at Bogomolets NMU and at Kyiv National T. Shevchenko University in 2017. 2008 to 2018 – pro-proctor of the department, in 2016-2017- protector dean of the medical faculty of foreign citizens training of NMU, since 2020 – curator ECTS of faculty for training of foreign citizens at Bogomolets NMU. Passed English language course at the foreign languages center of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Bulatkina Galyna Ivanivna

Lecturer of the Department

 

Graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and completed a course of specialty training in Language and Literature In 1998. Qualification obtained: teacher of Ukrainian Language and Literature.

Since 2002 has been working as a teacher at the department of Ukrainian Studies.

Author of 6 scientific articles and co-author of 2 textbooks.

Serhiy Yevdochenko

Lecturer of the Department

In 2009 he graduated from the Institute of Philology at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, received a master’s degree in philology.

Teaches disciplines: Ukrainian as a foreign language.

Kvitsynska Viktoriia

Senior Lecturer of the Department

 

Graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Qualification obtained: teacher of Ukrainian Language and Literature.

Since 2013 she has been working at the department of Ukrainian Studies.

Kvitsynska Viktoriia has 6 publications.

Koval Olena

Lecturer of the Department

In 2005 she graduated from National Pedagogical Dragomanov University, Faculty of Ukrainian Philology with Master Degree as a teacher of Ukrainian Language and Literature, Foreign Literature and a copy editor.

Author of 3 scientific and 50 journalistic articles.

Investigates the influence of linguistic means on recipients in print media. Improves methods of teaching the Ukrainian language as a foreign one.

Teaches disciplines: Ukrainian as a foreign language and Russian as a foreign language.

Olha Miroshnichenko

Lecturer of the Department

Deputy of Dean in the Faculty of Medicine №2.

In 2007 she graduated from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv,

Institute of Philology- specialty  “Ukrainian Language and Literature, Folklore Studies”.

From 2010 –teacherin the Department of Ukrainian Studies.

In 2012, she graduated from the National Technical University of Ukraine, Kyiv Polytechnic Institute,

specialty Administrative Manager.

Nikolaiev Volodymyr

Lecturer of the Department

In 2013 graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.  Specialty “Ukrainian language and literature”.

Since 2017 he has been  working at the Department of Ukrainian Studies of the Bogomolets National Medical University.

From 2019 to this day is studying in Ph.D. school. Volodymyr Nikolaiev works on dissertation “Methodology of formation of the intra-professional discourse of future doctors”.

Nikolaiev Volodymyr has 2 scientific articles published in professional journals.

Teaches disciplines: Ukrainian by professional direction, Ukrainian as a foreign language and Russian as a foreign language.

Scientific interests: improving the methodology of teaching the Ukrainian language in a professional direction and updating the content of educational material for medical students (in accordance with modern opportunities and challenges in the work of a doctor). Search of implementation of optimal methods of teaching the Ukrainian language for foreigners receiving higher education in Ukraine.

Nikolaieva Oksana

Lecturer of the Department

In 2011 graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv,  qualification as a research philologist, teacher of Ukrainian and Polish language and literature.

Since 2014 she has been  working at the Department of Ukrainian Studies of the Bogomolets National Medical University.

From 2018 to this day is studying in Ph.D. school. Oksana Nikolaieva works on the theme of the dissertation “The dramaturgy of Alexander Irvanets in the context of the poetics of the literary group” Bu-Ba-Bu “.

Oksana Nikolaieva has  3 scientific articles published in professional journals. Teaches disciplines: Ukrainian by professional direction and Ukrainian as a foreign language.

Scientific interests: specifics of modeling literature images in dramaturgy.

Tamara Serhienko

Senior Lecturer, assistant professor, PhD

Іn 2002, she graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the National Pedagogical University named after M. P. Drahomanov. In the same year, she started working at the Department of Ukrainian Studies (from 2002 to 2004 as a senior laboratory technician, from 2004 to 2021 as a teacher, from 2021 as a senior teacher at the Department of Language Training).

She teaches such disciplines as “Ukrainian language (for professional orientation)”, “Ukrainian language as a foreign language for students of the preparatory department”, “Ukrainian language as a foreign language”, “Local studies”.

She is the co-author of the textbook “Ukrainian as a foreign language” for students of the preparatory department.

Has 13 scientific articles, 2 of them are indexed in the Web of Science scientometric database.

In June 2021, she defended her dissertation for the educational and scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of knowledge 01 Education/Pedagogy, specialty Educational, pedagogical sciences.

In August 2022, he was awarded the title of associate professor.

Oksana Yanyk

Lecturer of the Department

In 2004 she graduated from Lviv National university named after I. Franko and received a Master’s degree in Philology (“English Language and Literature”).

2015- 2018 A postgraduate at NaUKMA post-graduate school at the Department of General Linguistics.

Oksana Yanyk has participated 7 scientific papers, 4 of which have been published in professional journals. She is a co-author of a grammar handbook “Let’s learn Ukrainian together!”

Kateryna Yanchitska

Lecturer of the Department

In 2016 she graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Kyiv National Pedagogical Drahomanov University and entered graduate school.

She teaches disciplines: “Ukrainian language (for professional purposes)” and “Ukrainian as a foreign language”.

Field of scientific activity – the use of artistic texts in the practice of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language, which helps to awaken in foreigners interest in learning the language, diversifies learning.

Author of 6 scientific publications.

golik Olena V. Sachuk

Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate professor,

Head of foreign languages Department

 

Olena V. Sachuk, a graduate of the Kyiv State Linguistic University, completed a course of specialty training in “Language and Literature (two foreign languages)” and obtained the diploma of the teacher of the English and German languages, and World Literature.In the framework of both undergraduate and postgraduate programs Olena V. Sachuk is involved in the organization and scheduling of the teaching and learning process, as well as design, development, and delivery of interactive lessons in professionally-oriented medical English.

Olena V. Sachuk is an author of 22 scientific and methodological works including the National course book, a study guide, articles and abstracts published in the national and international peer-reviewed publications. Olena V. Sachuk defended a dissertation on Theory and Methods of Teaching (Medical and Pharmaceutical Disciplines) and received a degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences.

 

  Avrachova Liudmyla Yakivna,

Associate Professor

 

Liudmyla Ya. Avrachova. Associate Professor (1996). Head of Foreign languages Depatment (1992) graduated from Nizhin Pedagogical Institute after M.V. Gogol and 2 years High Pedagogical courses at Kyiv state Pedagogical institute of foreign languages.

Avrachova L. Ya. is the author of more then 50 scientific and methodical works. Among them there are 10 text books and methodical guides for students of higher medical institution of the 4th accreditation level: “Grammar in Medicine”, “English for Dentists”, “English for Pharmacists”, “English for Medical Students” etc

   

 

 

Inna O. Palamarenko

Associate Professor, PhD in pedagogics

Graduated from Kyiv State Linguistic University, the specialty “Language and Literature (two foreign languages)”, the qualification of teacher of English, German and foreign literature. Since 1997 I. Palamarenko has been working at NMU.I. Palamarenko is an author and co-author of more than 40 scientific, teaching and training publications, such as course books, study guides, Programmes, monograph, articles and abstracts in Ukrainian and foreign publications; she has participated in more than 20 All-Ukrainian and International scientific conferences and symposia.

Palamarenko is responsible for the academic achievement monitoring at the second Medical Faculty and training of the post-graduate students. The scientific interests include problems of medical education in Ukraine and abroad as well as innovation technologies of foreign languages teaching at medical universities.

  Khrystyna V. Storozhuk

Associate Professor, PhD in Philology

Graduated from Kyiv Taras Shevchenko national university with the di[oloma in “Language and literature (English, German)”, was qualified as the master in philology, specialist in English and German languages and foreign literature, teacher. Responsible for the scientific research performance of the department, for the сompleting the “Electronic Register” by the department.

Since 2009 she has been working at the department of  foreign languages of National O.O.Bohomolets medical university. Since 2018- Associate professor of the department.  Author of more than 43 scientific articles, 1 monograph and co-author of 2 separate educational editions.

 

 

 

 

Larysa Pavlivna Statkevych

 

Larysa Pavlivna Statkevych, born in 1971, graduated from Kamianets-Podilskyi State Pedagogical Institute named after V.P. Zatonskyi (now Kamianets-Podilskyi Ivan Ohiienko National University) in 1993, specializing in Ukrainian language and literature and foreign language. By the decision of the State Examination Commission, she was awarded the qualification of a specialist teacher of Ukrainian language and literature and English language.

In 2008, she successfully defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Philological Sciences on the topic: “Forms and functions of intertextuality in the poetry of Thomas Stearns Eliot”, specialization 10.01.04 “Literature of foreign countries”.

In 2012, she received the academic title of associate professor at the translation department. She is a member of the All-Ukrainian Association of Translation Teachers and the editorial board of the scientific journal “Scientific Notes of V.I. Vernadsky Taurida National University. Series: Philology. Social Communications”.

Since September 2023, she has been working at the language training department of the foreign language sector. She heads the Academic English student research group. Her total pedagogical experience is 30 years. Larysa Pavlivna Statkevych has authored 58 scientific papers. She is a regular participant in various forums and workshops organized by Pearson or the Regional English Language Office and is a co-author of 3 English-language collective monographs and 6 textbooks.

 

 

   
 grusha Lyalya O. Grusha

Senior teacher, PhD in pedagogics

Graduated from the National Pedagogical University named after M. Dragomanov, and obtained the qualification of a teacher of English and English Literature.

Since 2013 she has been working as a teacher at the Department of Foreign Languages of  National Medical University named after  O.O. Bohomolets , promoted to a position of a  senior teacher. Grusha L. has been teaching medical students of all faculties.

Grusha L. is responsible for the academic achievement monitoring at the pharmaceutical faculty and faculty of medico-psychological reabilitation.

 

kaminska Iya P.Kaminskaya

Senior teacher, PhD in Psychology

Kaminska Iya Petrivna graduated from National Pedagogical University named after M.P. Drahomanov, specialty Language and Literature (English) and got the qualification of the English language and foreign literature teacher.

Since 2007 Kaminska Iya Petrivna has been working as a teacher on the chair of foreign languages in National Medical University named after O.O. Bohomolets, since 2018- senior teacher. She is a responsible for the educational and methodical actualization in the chair. In December 2015 she defended her thesis on Psychological peculiarities of forming deontological culture in future doctors by means of foreign language and got the Ph.D degree in psychology, specialty 19.00.07 – pedagogical and age psychology.

kushnir Valentyna S. Kushnir

Associate Professor, PhD in Pedagogics

Graduated from the National Kharkiv University  after V.Karazin with the Master Degree in linguistics, the qualification of linguist, interpreter and teacher of English and informatics.

Has been teaching students of the 1st and 2nd years of training of Medical, Dental, Pharmaceutical and Military-Medical Faculties; groups of advanced English learning; Professors, assistants and teachers of NMU in order to prepare them for English teaching.

In 2016 Valentyna S. Kushnir defended PhD thesis in specialty “Theory and methods of pedagogics”( pharmaceutical and medical sciences).  She is the author of 14 articles and theses printed in special editions of Ukraine and in materials of Ukrainian and international research-to-practice conferences. Responsible for academic achievement monitoring at the 1st medical faculty.

 

   
 

 

Lyudmila K. Moskalenko

Senior Teacher 

Graduated from Cherkassy Teachers` Training Institute with the qualification of a teacher of English and German.

She has been working as a teacher at the Foreign Languages Department since 1995. In 1999 she was promoted to a position of a senior teacher. Lyudmila K. has been teaching medical students of all faculties of NMU. She teaches groups of advanced English learning.

  1. Moskalenko has 9 publications in different Ukrainian magazines and journals; she is a co-author of 3 study guides: “Grammar in Medicine” (2002) for the students of higher medical educational establishments of the III-IV accreditation level and “English for students of Military-Medical Faculties” (2004; 2005); and “Professional English in Psychology science” for students of psychological department that was published in 2014.

L. Moskalenko  is responsible for academic achievement monitoring at the medical faculty #3.

 

 

Maryna V. Starchenko

Senior Teacher,  PhD

Graduated from Kyiv National University named after T.G. Shevchenko  and obtained Master’s Degree in philology, the qualification of teacher of English and German, and foreign literature.

Experience of teaching English at secondary school, at language school specialized in English and English language courses. She has been working at the Foreign Languages department since 2006. She’s been teaching students of the 1st and 2nd years of training of Medical, Dental, Pharmaceutical and Military-Medical Faculties. Responsible for academic achievement monitoring at the stomatological faculty and the part-time department of the pharmaceutical faculty.

Maryna V. Starchenko has more than 15 publications in different Ukrainian and foreign magazines and journals; she is a co-author of the “English-Ukrainian Medical Dictionary” (2010). In 2013 Maryna V. Starchenko defended the PhD thesis in Historical sciences.  At the moment she’s been working on National textbook “English for Stomatological Students”.

 

Myroslava M. Vakhnovan

Teacher

Graduated from the Kyiv National Linguistic University and obtained Master’s Degree in philology, the qualification of teacher of German and English, and foreign literature.

Since the graduation Myroslava M. Vakhnovan has been working at the Foreign Languages department of National  Bohomolets Medical University. She’s been teaching German students; a PhD Examination Board member.

She is a co-author of a national textbook “Fachsprache Deutschin der Heilkunde”, and author of a textbook “Deutsch für Mediziner”. She’s been taking part in International and All-Ukrainian conferences.

At the Foreign Languages Department Myroslava M. Vakhnovan is responsible for the German language training.

Valeriia Zakharova

Senior teacher 

Valeriia Zakharova graduated from the faculty of foreign philology of M. Dragomanov National Pedagogical University and obtained qualification of a teacher of English, German and foreign literature.

In 2012-2013 she was taking methodological course in English language Teaching (In-service Certificate in English Language Teaching) in British Council.

In 2013-2021 she was working at the department of foreign languages of Bogomolets National Medical University.

In 2020 she obtained PhD degree in Pedagogy.

Since 2021 she has been teaching professional English at the department of language training of Bogomolets National Medical University.

Valeriia Zakharova provides a complete course of practical training in professional English for the first and second year students of all specialties.

Valeriia is responsible for monitoring of students’ academic achievement at the medical faculty №2.

 

Tetyana V. Kolomiets

Graduated from M.P. Dragomanov National Pedagogical University and got Master’s degree in Philology (teacher of the English language, the German language, and foreign literature).2011 – graduated from pharmaceutical faculty of O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University and received qualification of pharmacist. Since September, 2010 has been working at the department of foreign languages of NMU on position of teacher. She is the author of 20 scientific articles and theses that are published in Ukrainian and international issues. Since 2012 has been doing the scientific research “Formation of the professional communicative competence in future pharmacists during the study of humanities with the help of Information computer technologies”

Alina I. Levchuk,  graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of

Oksana Podmazina graduated from the faculty of foreign languages of B.Khmelnytsky Melitopol   State Teachers’ Training University and obtained qualification of a teacher of English and foreign literature.

In 2007-2021 she was working at the department of foreign languages of Bogomolets National Medical University.

She is the author of 10 articles and they are published in special editions of Ukraine and in materials of Ukrainian and international research-to-practice conferences.

She has  been working at the Foreign languages department since 1977 as a senior teacher. She’s been teaching of Medical, Dental,  Pharmaceutical and  Military-Medical Faculties.

She is a co-author of 4 study guides: “Grammar in Medicine” (2002) for the students of higher medical educational establishments  of the III-IV accreditation level, “English for medical students” (2005), “English for pharmacists” (2009) and “English for medical students” (2011).

Tatyana V.Yakhno is a secretary of methodical committee of the Foreign languages Comission.

Chernenko Nina Anatoliyivna, candidate of philological sciences (PhD), associate professor; head teacher of department.

In 2012 graduated from Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University. In 2016 defended a thesis “Verbalization of concept VIRTUE in European languages (on material of Latin, French, English and Ukrainian)” on specialty “General linguistics” and received degree of candidate of philological sciences (PhD). N.A. Chernenko is author of 12 scientific articles on linguocultural studies, linguoconceptology, cognitive linguistics.

 

Shpynta (Voskoboinyk) G.M. phD, (position) finished  the Department of General Linguistics and Classical Philology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 2008. And 2008- 2011 – graduate student of this Department. In 2012, she defended her thesis : “Greek component in the Latin entomology nomenclature: structural and semantic aspect” at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Scientific interests: actual problems of terminology, scientific nomenclature, lexicology, lexicography, and cognitive mechanisms of term-formation and conceptualization of the scientific space.

The author of more than 30 scientific and educational publications, including the monograph “Latin entomology nomenclature: structural-semantic aspect”. Co-author of a workbook for a workshop from the Latin language and medical terminology for Ukrainian-speaking students and foreign students (Russian-language and English-language forms of education).

Since 2007, she has been working in the Latin Language Department at the O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University (laboratory assistant, lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor). 2011-2015 was a curator of ECTS in the dean’s office for work with foreign students of the dental and pharmaceutical faculties of O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University.

 

 

Yuliia B. Brazhuk – Associate Professor at the Department of Latin, Bogomolets National Medical University.

In 2005 she graduated from the Institute of Philology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a major in «Language and Literature (Ancient Greek and Latin), the Ukrainian Language».

Since 2005 he has been a teacher of the Department, 2010-2016 – senior lecturer of the Department, since 2016 – associate professor of the Department.

2010-2014 – postgraduate studies (the Department of General Linguistics and Classical Philology, Institute of Philology of Taras Shevchenko National University); Ph. d. thesis – «Naturomorphic metaphor in medical terminology (on the material of Latin-speaking anatomical terms)”.

  1. Brazhuk – the author of 12 scientific articles published in Ukrainian and foreign editions, methodological developments, she is a co-author of work training programs, the manual «Рracticum on the Latin language and medical terminology».

The field of scientific interest is medical terminology, cognitive metaphor in scientific terminology and metaphorical models in medical terminology.

 

Svitlana I. Lekhnitska, candidate of Philological Science (PhD), associate professor. In 2005 graduated  from Institute of Philology of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University in specialty The classical languages and literature. In 2009 completed the program of postgraduate studying in  Institute of Philology of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University. In 2016 defended the thesis The phenomenon of synonymy in the Greek and Latin origin pharmaceutical nomenclature (onomasiological and derivational aspects). Svitlana I. Lekhnitska is an author of 30  scientific works. Co-author of tutorial and scientific books “Latin Language and medical terminology”, “Latin Language and medical terminology: study guide”, “Latin Language and medical terminology (workbook)”, «Medical Latin terminology workbook: study guide», typical, exemplary, work and study programs of the discipline “Latin Language and medical terminology” for specialties 222 Medicine, 221 Stomatology, 225 Medical psychology, 227 Physical therapy, ergotherapy, 228 Pediatrics and methodological materials.

 

Oksana Nikolaenko – Senior Lecturer of the Latin Department of Bogomolets National Medical University. In 2006 graduated with honors from the Institute of Philology of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. She has obtained the qualification of Master of Philology. In 2009 she completed her postgraduate studies in the Department of General Linguistics and Classical Philology. She is currently working on the PhD thesis: “The Flavian Age Epigram: A Linguopragmatic Analysis”. In 2009-2010 worked as a senior laboratory assistant at the Latin Department. Since September 2010, he has been working as a lecturer of the Latin department, and since 2014 – a senior lecturer of the department. Teaching experience – 16 years. Since 2011, she has been responsible for the implementation of the department’s research work. In addition, she is the author of 16 scientific papers and co-author of study manuals “Lexical appendix in the discipline” Latin language and medical terminology” and “Lexicon terminologiae medicinalis (Русский / English)” for students of higher educational institutions of III-IV levels of accreditation.
Olena V. Sadovnycha – senior lecturer, candidate of Philological Science (PhD).

In 2013 she graduated  from Institute of Philology of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University in the speciality “Language and Literature (Ancient Greek and Latin),  French Language” .

In 2016 completed the program of postgraduate studying in  Institute of Philology of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University. In 2017 defended the thesis «Sacred Latin Text of Antiquity: Genealogic, Suggestive and Pragmatic Dimensions».

Olena V. Halamaha is an author of 6 scientific works. Since 2013  has been teaching the Latin language at the Department of Latin, Bogomolets National Medical University. Olena V. Halamaha is responsible for the design of the web page of the Department of Latin. Since 2018 Olena V. is a curator ESTS of the Faculty of Medicine №4.

Field of scientific interests: linguoculture, psycholinguistics, Sacred Latin Text of Antiquity.

In 2009 graduated  from Institute of Philology of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University in specialty The classical languages and literature, and Italian language. In 2012 completed the program of postgraduate studying in Institute of  Philology of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University. Kateryna S. Somka is an author of 5 scientific works and participant of 5 International conferences. The head of the student scientific club in the Department.

 

Khrystyna V. Kondaurova, lecturer.

 

In 2014 Khrystyna V. Kondaurova completed the full course of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and obtained complete higher education in the speciality “Language and Literature (Ancient Greek and Latin), English Language” and obtained qualification of Master of Language and Literature: Researcher, Teacher of Higher Educational Institution (Ancient Greek, Latin and English languages). In 2014 she became a postgraduate student of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and is currently working on Ph.d thesis “Latin legislative document: from papal bulls to hetman’s universals”. In 2013 she worked as a laboratory assistant and since 2014 she works as a lecturer at the Department of Latin, Bogomolets National Medical University.

Khrystyna V. Kondaurova is the author of 8 scientific articles published in Ukrainian and foreign editions.

Oksana Nikolaenko – associate Professor of the Latin Department of Bogomolets National Medical University.

In 2006 graduated with honors from the Institute of Philology of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. She has obtained the qualification of Master of Philology. In 2011 she completed her postgraduate studies in the Department of General Linguistics and Classical Philology. In October 2012, she defended her dissertation at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv on the topic "Oratory discourse in ancient Rome: cultural and functional-stylistic dimensions (based on material of speeches of the Republican period)" and received a certificate of scientific degree of candidate of philological Sciences. Since September 2006, he has been working as a lecturer of the Latin department, and since 2016 – a associate Professor of the department.

Since 2016, Oksana has been working of Deputy Dean of Dentistry faculty. Teaching experience – 10 years. In addition, she is the author of 16 scientific papers and co-author of 2 study manuals.

Sophia S. Blahun,  senior lecturer.

 

In 2014 Sophia S. Blahun completed with honour the full course of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and obtained complete higher education in the speciality “Language and Literature (Ancient Greek and Latin), English Language” and obtained qualification of Master of Language and Literature: Researcher, Teacher of Higher Educational Institution (Ancient Greek, Latin and English languages). In 2015 Sophia S. Blahun graduated from Institute of Postgraduate Study, National Aviation University and obtained qualification “Translator”.

In 2014 she worked as a laboratory assistant and since 2015 she works as a lecturer at the Department of Latin, Bogomolets National Medical University.

In 2017 she became a postgraduate student of Bogomolets National Medical University and she is currently working on Ph.d thesis “Methodology for teaching pharmaceutical terminology, botanical and chemical nomenclature using interactive technologies.” Sophia S. Blahun is the author of 7 scientific articles published in Ukrainian and foreign editions.

Sophia S. Blahun is responsible for English speaking form of education and «АСУ» at the Department.

In 2012 graduated with honors from the Institute of Philology of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, having obtained the qualification of Master of Philology, Lecturer in Latin, Ancient Greek, French and Ancient Literature.  Since the beginning of September 2012  works  in the department of Latin.

In 2015, she entered the postgraduate course of the Institute of Philology, Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, majoring in 10.02.14 – classical languages.  Some Indo-European languages.  Dissertation topic: “Greek-Latin terminology of clinical psychology: structural-semantic and linguocultural aspects”.  Tetiana Ivanovna is a participant of eight All-Ukrainian scientific conferences, has seven printed works in national editions.

 

Yelena Gera, lecturer of the Department of the Latin Language.

In 2011, she graduated from the Institute of Philology of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv obtaining Master Degree with honours in the speciality “Language and Literature (Old Greek, Latin), the English Language” and the qualification of philologist-researcher, lecturer of higher educational institution (of the Old Greek, Latin language and literature, English language).

Currently, she is studying at the PhD Programme of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in the speciality 10.02.14 – “Classical languages. Certain Indo-European languages”. The theme of thesis is the ‘Language creativity of goliards of the XII-XIII centuries’.

From 2009 to 2011 Yelena Gera was working as a laboratory assistant of the Department of the Latin Language.

From 2001 till now she is occupying the position of a lecturer of the Department.

She is the author of 4 scientific papers in professional journals, participated in scientific and international conferences. She is responsible for working with the First Medical Faculty. Participates in writing methodological guides for the dental, medical and pharmaceutical faculties.

Areas of research interest: medical terminology, medieval Latin, linguoculture, cognitive linguistics.

Hanna Malunova PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of the Latin Language.

In 2011, she graduated from the Institute of Philology of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv obtaining Master Degree with honours in the speciality “Language and Literature (Old Greek, Latin), the English Language” and the qualification of philologist-researcher, lecturer of higher educational institution (of the Old Greek, Latin language and literature, English language).

From 2011 to 2014 Hanna Malunova was undergoing the full-time PhD programme at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in the speciality “Classical languages. Certain Indo-European languages”.

In 2015, she successfully defended the PhD thesis “Conceptual Space of Plato’s “Apology of Socrates”: Linguistic and Cultural Aspects” obtaining the PhD Degree in Philology in the speciality 10.02.14 – “Classical languages. Certain Indo-European languages”.

From 2011 to 2018 Hanna Malunova was working as a lecturer of the Department of the Latin Language of the Bogomolets National Medical University, in 2018 – as a senior lecturer, since 2019 – an associate professor of the Department.

From 2012 to 2015 she was a staff member of the Department for International Cooperation of the University, and from 2015 to 2018 – the head of this Department.

Hanna Malunova is an author of 13 scientific publications and a co-author of the Practical Guide “The Latin Language and Medical Terminology” (Kyiv, 2016). She is actively encouraging and supporting the research activities of students.

Hanna Malunova has C1 level of English and provides classes in the groups of the English-medium Programme.

Field of her research interests covers issues of the Greek component in Latin-language clinical terminology, linguocultural studies, cognitive linguistics, conceptual analysis of Greek and Latin ancient texts.
