New realities of life related to globalization and transparency processes of Ukraine define the professionalism as gained skills, knowledge and aptitudes in medicine, as well as capability of self-education, continuous self-improvement, self-evaluation and self-control by means of new computer and information technologies, active participation in conferences, symposiums, exhibitions, scientific researches, etc.. It is impossible without foreign languages. Modern medical specialist speaks foreign languages and is capable to compete at the labor market. Considering this fact, the department of foreign languages defined priorities scientific research activities which contribute to achievement of high level of foreign languages teaching, increase of general level of qualification of the National medical University graduates:

• Analysis of interactive technologies and implementation of those technologies which meet features of foreign languages teaching in higher educational establishment.
• Study of problem of motivation of medical students.
• Research of world study online platforms and creation of own study project on the basis of the study system Moodle.
• Research of effectiveness of multimedia means and Internet in foreign languages teaching.
• Defining new level of pedagogic culture of foreign language teacher and ways of professional self-improvement.
