TRAINING AND METHODOLOGICAL WORK

The following students are trained at the department:
2nd course – “Patient care (practice) in the surgical department”
3rd year – “General surgery, including nursing practice, basic surgical skills in the surgical department”, “Fundamentals of military surgery. Theory and practice of surgical sutures”
3, 5, 6 courses – “Military field surgery”
The main forms of organization of the educational process are practical classes, lectures, independent work of students, consultations, in accordance with ECTS requirements. Practical manipulations on the models are being worked out, multimedia presentations and videos are used, work at the bedside of the patient. The lectures show multimedia presentations, video materials, which reflect the modern methods of diagnosis and treatment of patients with surgical pathology.
The multidisciplinary clinical and surgical base of the department with modern diagnostic and medical equipment helps to consolidate the acquired knowledge and practical skills in working with patients in the departments of the hospital:
- General surgery
- purulent surgery
- Traumatology
- Hand surgery
- Anesthesiology and intensive care
- The sepsis treatment center
