IVANCHOV Pavlo Vasyliovych –head of the department, doctor of medical sciences, doctor of economic sciences, professor. Born on June 2, 1972. Received higher medical education in 1995, graduating with honors from the medical faculty of Uzhhorod State University.

The scientist’s practical and scientific activity is connected with the Department of Surgery No. 3 of the National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets, on the basis of which he studied at an internship in the specialty “surgery” (1995-1997), a clinical residency in the specialty “surgery” (1997-1999), and a postgraduate course in the specialty “surgery” (1999-2002) .). In 2003, he defended his candidate’s thesis on the topic: “Surgical tactics for acutely bleeding recurrent peptic ulcers after organ-preserving operations and resections of the stomach.” In 2011, he defended his doctoral thesis on the topic: “Surgical aspects of gastroduodenal bleeding of tumor origin”.

After completing postgraduate studies in 2002, he was appointed to the position of an assistant at the Department of Surgery No. 2, since October 1, 2010, he has been an associate professor at the Department of Surgery No. 3, and since October 10, 2013, he has been transferred to the position of a professor at the Department of Surgery No. 3. From 04/02/2021 – Head of the Department of Surgery No. 3. The academic title of associate professor was awarded in 2012, professor in 2016.

Professionally, Ivanchov P.V. is a highly qualified, versatile, very active surgeon. He has a higher qualification category, possesses modern diagnostic methods and performs the entire range of surgical operations on the organs of the abdominal cavity, including minimally invasive laparoscopic operations. Twice (2006, 2007) he completed an internship in the USA (state of California, San Francisco) at the California Pacific Medical Center in the clinics of transplantology, laparoscopic surgery, surgery of the liver, biliary tract and pancreas (3 certificates).

At the department since 2003, he was responsible for medical work and the connection of the department with the practical health care system. He is the head of two clinical bases and responsible for the medical work of the surgery department No. 3 of the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital of Emergency Medical Care and the surgical department of the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 12.

Since March 2017, he has been elected a valid member (academician) of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences.

Since September 2017, he has been elected as a member of the Academic Council of the Medical Faculty No. 3 of the National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets

From June 2021, he was elected head of the Department of Medical and Biological Sciences of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences.

Since November 2022, he has been elected a member of the Specialized Academic Council D 26.003.09 for awarding the scientific degree of Doctor of Sciences.

He is the co-author of about 200 scientific works published in domestic and foreign publications, 21 patents of Ukraine for inventions, 2 certificates of copyright registration for a work, 1 textbook, 1 scientific guide and 1 monograph.

Under his leadership, dissertation research on topical issues of emergency surgery and oncology is actively being conducted.

He pays great attention to improving his scientific and professional level. Every year, he actively participates in the work of international conferences on urgent issues of urgent surgery, acute complications of cancer of the stomach and colorectal zone.

In 2021, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the “National Academy of Management” University and received a second higher education in the specialty 072 “Finance, banking and insurance”.

In November 2021 for the second time, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic: “State management of the transformation of the medical system of Ukraine on a market basis” in the specialty “Economics and management of the national economy” and obtained the scientific degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences.

For significant achievements in professional activity and conscientious work, he was awarded the Thanks of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (2013).

For the development and implementation of innovative technologies in surgery, he was awarded the title of Laureate of the Prize of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (2014).

Awarded an honorary award at an international scientific conference in Taipei, Taiwan (2017) for inventions in the field of medicine.

For a significant personal contribution to the nation’s health care, high professionalism and many years of conscientious work, he was awarded the “Medical Glory” honorary award (2018).

For his significant contribution to the development of the health care system, the President of Ukraine awarded him the honorary title “Honored Doctor of Ukraine” (2018).

For his services to the Local Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the pious people and for his sacrificial service in preserving the spirit of life, he was awarded the Saint Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon (2021).

For his services to the Local Ukrainian Orthodox Church and for his sacrifice and love for Ukraine, he was awarded the medal of Saint Michael the Archangel (2021).

For a significant personal contribution to the development of health care and high professionalism, he was awarded an honorary certificate of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (2021)

For conscientious, professional work and charity, he was awarded the “Knowledge, soul, heart – to people” medal (2021).

He was awarded the Europa Virtutibus Unita (Europe – Union of Values) medal (2021) by the Association of Honorary Doctors, Honorary Professors and Honorary Senators, friends and benefactors from Germany, Austria, Poland and Switzerland.

For significant development in the field of health care, domestic medical education and science, training of highly qualified medical specialists, high professionalism, dedication to work, and on the occasion of the Medical Worker’s Day, he was awarded a certificate of the Academic Council of the Medical Faculty No. 3 of O.O. NMU. Bogomolets (2021).

For outstanding achievements in the progress of society, he was awarded the “Plato Silver Medal” by the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (2022).

For special services to Ukrainian Nature and in connection with the 75th anniversary of the Ukrainian Society for Nature Protection, he was awarded the Honorary Jubilee Certificate of UTOP (2022).

For many years of conscientious and impeccable work, a significant personal contribution to the development of education and science, high professionalism, an active civic position, and on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his birthday, he was awarded the Thanks of the Academic Council of the National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets (2022).

In 2022, for the collective work “Organization of emergency medical care and treatment of acute blood loss in the conditions of hostilities and clinical practice” (together with Doctor of Medicine, Professor, Member-Corporator Yu.L. Kuchyn and Dr. Ph.D., Prof. D.O. Hovseyev) was awarded the 2022 Boris Paton National Prize of Ukraine.

 

 

   

Biliakov-Bielskyi Olexandr Borysovych – Associate Professor, was born on 11.11.1948. In 1967 he graduated with honours from Kiev Medical College 2, after which he did his military service as a battalion nurse. In 1969 he entered the faculty of medicine at Kyiv Medical Institute named after O.O. Bogomolets. He graduated with honours from Kiev Medical Institute in 1975. He was a subordinate attending physician and intern at Kiev Clinical Hospital No.15. From 1975 to 1977 he worked as a surgeon-oncologist at Kiev Roentgen Radiology Oncology Institute. Later he was transferred to the position of a resident at the surgical department of Kiev Clinical Hospital No.15, and then No.12. Since 1985 he was an assistant at the Department of Surgery. He defended his PHd thesis on “Acute gastric bleeding of cancer origin” in 1986, and has been Associate Proffesor at the Department since 2006.

During his career, he actively participated in the scientific work of the department and in the medical work of the surgical departments. He has authored over 150 scientific papers, including two newsletters.

O.B. Biliakov-Bielskyi is a highly qualified surgeon, who knows modern methods of diagnosis and treatment, has the highest qualification category. He is actively engaged in therapeutic work, inpatient and outpatient surgery. He teaches at the Department of Surgical Diseases at the National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets: he delivers lectures and conducts practical training and assists junior faculty colleagues. He was involved in the treatment of COVID-19 patients in 2020-2021.

   
 

   

Shkarban Viktor Pavlovych was born on 17.07.1978. In 2001 he graduated from NMU them. OO The worshiper. 2001-2003 took an internship in the specialty “Surgery” at the National Technical Universitynamed after O.O. Shalimov NAMS of Ukraine, NMAPO named after P.L. Shupyk. In 2008 he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences “Diagnosis, treatment and prevention of acute cholangitis in patients with choledocholithiasis”. In 2016 he defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences “Substantiation of surgical tactics in patients with neuroendocrine tumors of the pancreas”.

   
 

   

Sydorenko Viktor Mikhailovich – Associate Professor, Candidate of Medical Sciences.

In 1960, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Medicine of the Odessa M.I.Pirogov Medical Institute in 1984. After graduation, he took internship in the Odessa Basin Hospital by water transport and the city clinical hospital №12 Kyiv. After graduating from internship, he worked as a surgeon at the City Clinical Hospital №12 Kyiv. From 1988 to 1990, he worked as part-time assistant of the Department of Surgery of the Pediatric Faculty of the Kiev Medical Institute, since 1990 he was elected as an assistant to the Department of Surgery of the Kiev Medical Institute. 29.05.2003 for the contest was elected associate professor of the Department of Surgery № 3, where he works at the present time.

During all years of work he took an active part in the scientific work of the department and in 1994 successfully defended his PhD thesis on the problem of hemorrhagic shock in patients with profuse gastrointestinal bleeding.

V.M. Sydorenko is the author of more than 100 scientific papers, including two informational letters, as well as two inventions.

Sidorenko V.M. is a highly qualified surgeon who has modern methods of diagnosis and treatment, has the highest qualification category. Learned the methods of minimally invasive surgery, at the department conducts classes on the elective course of endoscopic and laparoscopic surgery.

   
 

 

 

Povch Oleg Andriiovych – Associate Professor of the Department, born in 1968, Ukrainian. He graduated from the Medical Faculty of Uzhhorod State University in 1992 with honors. In 1992-94 he studied in the clinical residency, and from 1994 to 1997 – in the full-time graduate school of surgery on the basis of the current, Department of Surgery №3. From September 1998 to January 2009 he worked as an assistant, and from January 13, 2009 to the present – he works as an associate professor of the Department of surgery №3. In 1999 he defended his dissertation on the topic: “Surgical tactics for peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, complicated by both perforation and bleeding.”

He has the highest certification category in the specialty “Surgery”, has traditional and minimally invasive types of surgical interventions on the organs of the abdominal cavity. During the holiday period, he underwent on-the-job internships at surgical clinics in Boston (2005), Honolulu (2007), Lisbon (2018), and Pattaya (2016, 2019).

Honored Doctor of Ukraine (2010), has the Gratitude of the Kyiv Mayor (2005), was awarded the Diploma of the Academic Council of NMU named after O.O. Bogomolets (June, 2018). In 2014, as part of the team of authors of the Department of Surgery №3, awarded the Prize of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for the work “Modern mini-invasive endoscopic and surgical technologies for the treatment of gastrointestinal bleeding.”

Povch O.A. has 111 published works in scientific journals and other periodicals and medical literature, in publishers recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine – 24, in foreign publications – 10. He is the author of 2 monographs, 3 patents of Ukraine for inventions, 1- th information letter.

   
 

 

 

Kozlov Serhiy Mykolayovych – Associate Professor, 1967, graduated with honors from Kiev Medical Institute. OO Bogomolets (1st Faculty of Medicine) in 1992. Later, on the recommendation of the Academic Council, he studied in clinical residency (1992–1994) and postgraduate PhD course (1994-1997) at the Department of Surgery №2 (later renamed to Department of Surgery №3) of the National Medical University under the direction of Academician of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Doctor of Medical Sciences Professor Peter Dmitrovich Fomin. Since 1998 he has been working at the department as an assistant and senior surgeon at the city center of gastrointestinal bleeding at the clinical of Kyiv 12 municipal hospital. In 1999 he approved thesis “Risk Factors Assessment in Choosing Surgical Tactics in Patients with Acute Bleeding Pyloroduodenal Ulcers”and got the PhD grade. Dr. Kozlov gained the highest category in surgery in 2005. He attended postgraduate study courses “Ultrasound diagnostics”, “Laparoscopic surgery”, “X-ray diagnostic and endovascular (RI) surgery” and “Endoscopy”. Co-author of the concept of the project of embedding IT technologies into medical business procedures named “Electronic hospital”. Since 2008, in close cooperation with scientific divisions of NAS and AMS of Ukraine takes part in the development of mini-invasive technologies for the prevention and treatment of complications of portal hypertension in diffuse liver diseases. He is the author of 13 patents, 164 scientific works, 57 of them have been published in foreign sources. For the achievements in development of mini invasive methods of surgical treatment of gastrointestinal bleedings was awarded with Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Award for 2014. Lissov Oleksiy Ihorovych Associate Professor, born in 1969, graduated from the II Medical Faculty of the Kiev Medical Institute in 1992. From August 1992 to August 1993 – worked as a research scientist at the Department of Congenital Heart Defects at the Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery. From September 1993 to 1995 he worked as an assistant – an intern at the Department of Faculty Surgery No. 2, NMU. OO Bogomolets, on the basis of KMKL № 12, where since September 1995 till now he works as an assistant of the department. In May 2000 he defended his PhD thesis on “Early after surgical complications in ulcerative bleeding surgery”.He has published 92 scientific papers and has 3 patents for invention. In 2014, as part of the team of authors of the Department of Surgery № 3, he was awarded the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Award for his work “Modern mini-invasive endoscopic and surgical technologies for the treatment of gastrointestinal bleeding”.

   
 

 

 

Peresh Yevhen Yevhenovych – assistant of the department, was born on June 28, 1972 in Uzhgorod. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Uzhgorod State University in 1995 with honors. In 1999 he defended his dissertation on the topic: “Clinic, diagnostics and surgical treatment of ulcerative gastroduodenal bleeding in elderly and senile people with concomitant cardiovascular pathology”. In 2014, as part of the team of authors of the Department of Surgery № 3, he was  awarded  the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Award for his work “Modern mini-invasive endoscopic and surgical technologies for the treatment of gastrointestinal bleeding”. Assistant of the department since 2000, doctor – surgeon of the highest category, doctor- proctologist.

 

   
 

 

 

Kurbanov Anton Konstantinovich – Candidate of Medical Sciences, Assistant Professor. Secretary of the Department. Responsible for medical and diagnostic work.

In 2005 graduated with honors from the Medical Faculty №1 National O.O. Bogomolets Medical University. According to the distribution, he worked as a senior laboratory assistant (2005-2012), at the same time studied in an internship in the specialty “surgery” (2005-2008), in correspondence graduate school in the specialty “surgery” (2010-2014), since September 2012 works as an assistant at the Department of Surgery №3. He defended his dissertation in 2020 on the topic: “Comparative evaluation of long-term results of minimally invasive and open methods of surgical treatment of esophageal achalasia.”

Research interests: general and emergency surgery, proctology, gastrointestinal surgery, neck and esophageal surgery. He is the author of 94 publications, 3 Patents of Ukraine and 1 certificate of copyright registration for the work. He is a member of the Association of Medical Tourism Doctors of Ukraine and a member of the Scientific Society of Surgeons of Kyiv and Kyiv region. He has the highest qualification category in the specialty “surgery”, specialization in the specialty “proctology”, specialization in the specialty “oncosurgery”.

 

 

 

 

 

Prudnikova Oksana Borysivna – Assistant of the Surgery Department  №3, in 2012 she graduated from the Medical Faculty №3 O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University. According to the distribution, she worked as a senior laboratory assistant (2012-2019), at the same time studied in an internship in the specialty “surgery” and graduated with honors in the specialty “medicine” (2012-2015) at the the Surgery Department №3. Since 2015, she has worked part-time as an assistant at the the Surgery Department №3 with English-speaking students. Since September 2019 he has been working as an assistant at the Department of Surgery №3. He is working on her PhD dissertation on the topic “Surgical tactics in patients with acute complications of malignant tumors of the stomach” in the specialty “surgery”. At the department he is responsible for the English-speaking form of student education.

Research interests: general and emergency abdominal surgery, proctology, emergency oncology surgery of the gastrointestinal tract. He is the author of 30 publications (5 – in foreign publications), 2 patents of Ukraine. Since 2015, he has been working as a part-time surgeon at the Kyiv City Center for the care of patients with gastrointestinal bleeding, which operates on the basis of the surgical department №1 KMKL№12. He is a member of the Association of physicians of the scientific society of surgeons of Kyiv and kyiv region.
