Komisarenko Yuliia Igorivna

Y.I. Komisarenko was born on May 15, 1961 in the city of Kyiv. After graduating from high school in 1978, she entered the medical faculty of the Kyiv Medical Institute named after O.O. Bogomolets In June 1984, she graduated with honors.
The further more than thirty-year scientific path of Y.I. Komisarenko is associated with the O.O. Bogomolets Kyiv Medical Institute (now the National Medical University). She began her career as a clinical resident of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 3 with a Students’ scientific society of endocrinology (1984 – 1988), and later worked as a senior laboratory assistant at the same department and studied by correspondence at a graduate school (1988 – 1991). Scientific studies of this period were devoted to the pathogenesis and treatment of carbohydrate metabolism disorders against the background of various forms of hypercorticism – Itsenko-Cushing syndrome, and in 1994. defended her candidate’s thesis. His pedagogical activity Y.I. Komisarenko started in 1991, working as an assistant at the Department of Endocrinology at the National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets (1991-1996). In 1996, she was elected an associate professor of the Department of Endocrinology, and in 1998 she received the academic title of “Associate Professor”.
Y.I. Komisarenko was elected to the position of professor of the department (2015) аfter the successful defense in 2014 of his doctoral dissertation “Diabetes mellitus in combination with autoimmune thyroiditis: features of the course and the role of vitamin D3 (clinical – experimental)”.
Komisarenko Yuliia Igorivna is the author of more than 250 scientific works, including 2 monographs. With her participation, 25 textbooks and teaching aids were published in Ukrainian, Russian and English. Together with the co-authors, in 2007 she was awarded the Prize of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for the best textbook in the field of “Clinical Medicine”, and in 2013, the textbook on endocrinology received national status. In addition, she is a laureate of the award named after V.P. Komisarenko of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, for the series of scientific works “History of the development of endocrinology in Ukraine”.
Komisarenko Yulia Igorivna was responsible for educational work at the department and educational work with the Chinese countrymen for more than 10 years. She successfully performed the duties of the person responsible for English-language teaching and work with Ukrainian and foreign postgraduate students, worked for several years in the international department of NMU.
While working at the department, Komisarenko Y.I. formed as a mature and authoritative clinician – endocrinologist. In 2006, 2015 performed the duties of the chief freelance specialist in endocrinology of the Department of Health Protection of the Executive Body of the Kyiv City Council. He has the title of Honored Doctor of Ukraine since 2008 and the Thanks of the Ministry of Health for achievements in professional activity (2016). He is a member of the European Society of Endocrinologists and the European Association for the Study of Diabetes Mellitus.
In different years, Yuliia Igorivna successfully combined scientific, pedagogical and public activities. She has been a member since 1993, and in 1995-1997. was the second president of the international women’s organization “Soroptimist International”, which takes care of the problems of women, children and the elderly.
Juliia Igorivna Komisarenko is a persistent, responsible, hardworking specialist. She has a high reputation among students, colleagues and patients.

 

 

 

 

Galyna Petrivna Mykhalchyshyn

Endocrinologist of the highest category
Responsible for educational and methodological work and Faculty of skills upgrading education at the department.  She graduated from Kiev Medical Institute named after A.A. Bogomolets with honors (1989). Then graduated from postgraduate course at the Department of the faculty therapy №2 with a course of endocrinology (1991-1994). During her study she received scholarship of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. She defended her thesis on the topic: «The Influence of laser therapy on the immune status of patients with diabetes mellitus» (1996). G.P. Mykhalchyshyn is an associate Professor of the Department of endocrinology of the Bohomolets National Medical University since 2000.
She has published more than 100 scientific works, including 4 textbooks in Ukrainian, Russian and English languages,12 textbooks.
Associate Professor G.P. Mykhalchyshyn during 10 years was the Head the diabetological Department of endocrinology centre. She is an endocrinologist of higher category, regularly makes prsentations for doctors on actual problems of endocrinology. In addition G.P. Mykhalchyshyn is a member of European Association of research of diabetes mellitus and a member of the Association of the endocrinologists in Kyiv. The area of her scientific interests – diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome, a disease of the thyroid gland, pharmacotherapy of endocrine diseases. She is a laureate of the prize of clinical medicine of the Presidium of the AMS of Ukraine for textbook «Endocrinology» in Russian (2007).

 

 

 

 

Maryna Ivanivna Bobryk

Responsible for educational work at the Department.
She graduated from I medical faculty of Ukrainian State Medical University named after A.A. Bogomolets with honors (1994). She defended her thesis on the topic: “Diagnosis and control the efficiency of the treatment process of patients with diffuse toxic goiter by using”. The area of her scientific interests – diabetes mellitus, pathology of a thyroid gland .
She is a laureate of prize of AMS of Ukraine of the young scienses (2002).

 

 

 

 

Valentyna Mykolaivna Konah

She graduated from Ukrainian State Medical University named after A.A. Bogomolets with honors (1994). She defended her thesis in 2001 on the topic: “A clinical assessment and clinical applications of Erbisol efficiency in patients with autoimmune thyroiditis”. The area of her scientific interests – diabetes mellitus, deseases of the thyroid gland. She is a member of the Association of the endocrinologists in Kyiv.

 

 

 

Kondratiuk Kateryna

Endocrinologist, Nutritionist.
She graduated from Bogomolets National Medical University with honors (2012). In 2014 she defended her master’s degree thesis  “Clinical and laboratory features and quality of life of patients with type 2 diabetes and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease”. She finished her  postgraduate education and received  scientific degree of Candidate of  Medical Sciences in specialty 14.01.02  “Immune system disorders and intestinal microbiome in patients with type 2 diabetes with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and their correction in complex treatment” (2017 Department of  Endocrinology, NMU). She is an author of 50 scientific works in specialized foreign and national scientific journals.
Areas of interest: diabetes mellitus and its complications, obesity, metabolic syndrome, thyroid disease, reproductive endocrinology, immunology of endocrine diseases.
She is an active participant in the congresses of the European Society of Endocrinology, the European Association for the Study of Diabetes and Obesity, the European Society of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolisme, numerous scientific conferences of endocrinologists of Ukraine.

 

 

 

Larysa Volodymyrivna Shuliarenko

She graduated from Bohomolets National Medical University in 2003. PhD (MD) in Endocrinology, 2007-2010, Department of clinical diabetes SI Institute of endocrinology and metabolism named. V.P. Komissarenko of medical Sciences of Ukraine. She defended her thesis in 2001 on the topic: “Coagulative violations at diabetes of type 2 and methods of their correction”. The area of her scientific interests – diabetes mellitus, deseases of the thyroid gland. Author of 36 scientific works in specialized editions. Kobyliak Nazarii

He graduated from the Bogomolets National Medical University with honors (2009). Successfully defended his master’s thesis on “Features of the course and treatment of patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus in combination with autoimmune thyroiditis” at 2011. Then he passed a postgraduate course at the Department of Endocrinology (2012-2013) and received the PhD degree in medicine on the topic: «Comparative evaluation of instrumental methods for the diagnosis of non-alcoholic steatohepatosis in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (clinical and experimental study)» (2013). In 2021 he defended his Doctor of Medicine thesis: “Clinical and experimental justification of complex treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus and associated diseases”.

From 2013 to 2019 he worked as an assistant at the Endocrinology Department. Since 2019 work on Associate Professor position at the same department. He is the author of more than 250 scientific papers, including 125 articles (75 in the Scopus database), 90 conference abstracts, 9 patents, 1 methodological recommendations, 1 textbook and 4 monographs. The Hirsch index (h-index) in the Scopus database is 24 and in Google Scholar – 30.  Since 2012 he is active member of the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE) and the European Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (EASL). In 2017 he was awarded the President’s Prize for Young Scientists for a series of works “Pathogenesis and new technologies for diagnosis and treatment of the most common diseases of the digestive system”, as well as for reports at international congresses received “Young investigator Award – 2017” from the European Society of Endocrinology and “National Scholar Award Ukraine 2017” from the United European Gastroenterology Week. Research interests – diabetes mellitus, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, gut microbiota, nutraceuticals, instrumental diagnosis of endocrine diseases, immunoendocrinology.

 

 

 

 

Lev Prystupiuk

Assistant Professor of the Department of Endocrinology.

Graduated from the Bogomolets National Medical University with honors (2011). He graduated from an internship specializing in “Internal Medicine” (2013). He defended his master’s thesis on the topic: “Clinical characteristics and prevalence of arthropathy in patients with diabetes depending on the manifestations of neuropathy and angiopathy” (2013). Completed specialization in “Endocrinology” (2014). The sphere of scientific interests is diabetes and thyroid gland diseases.
