Head of the Department

Barna Olga Mykolaivna

Head of the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine) – (2014 – present), Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences.

She was born on May 15, 1967 in Ternopil in a family of employees. In 1990 she graduated from Ternopil State Medical Institute (TSMU) with honors.

Educational and pedagogical work. She studied at the TSMU postgraduate course with a degree in cardiology, which she graduated early in 1994 with a PhD thesis on the diagnosis and treatment of hypertensive heart. She worked as an assistant, associate professor at the departments of cardiology, therapy and family medicine of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education of TSMU.

Since 2001 she has been studying for a doctorate at the Bogomolets National Medical University. In 2002 she received the academic title of Associate Professor. From 2002 to 2007 she worked as an assistant and associate professor at the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases of NMU. She defended her doctoral dissertation on the peculiarities of coronary artery disease in women in 2007.

Since 2010, she has worked as a professor at the Department of Diabetology at the Institute of Family Medicine of the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. He was awarded the academic title of professor in 2012. She was a member of the Academic Council of the Institute of Family Medicine, Deputy Chairman of the Scientific Commission. During her work at the Institute of Family Medicine, she developed a number of scientific programs and lectures for cycles of thematic improvement for family medicine doctors on various interdisciplinary topics, including “Metabolic Syndrome”, “Diabetic Foot”, “Premature Aging” and others. He has extraordinary lecturing skills, which is confirmed by the ratings of assessments according to questionnaires of both doctors and students.

SCIENTIFIC WORK. Barna O.M. is the author of more than 300 publications, including 1 patent of Ukraine, a collection of lectures on cardiology, a textbook on self-control of diabetes mellitus. The range of scientific interests currently concerns preventive, gender and anti-aging medicine, stratification of risk factors and cardiovascular pathology in diabetes mellitus.

Together with the National Scientific Center “M.D. Strazhesko Institute of Cardiology” of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine (Department of Epidemiological Research), a comparative Register of Cardiovascular Risk Factors of different regions of Ukraine has been launched and is being maintained within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Social Program “Cardiovascular Risk under Control”.

Over the past 15 years, O.M. Barna has been the chief researcher of more than 20 international scientific projects on various aspects of internal medicine – cardiology, endocrinology, rheumatology, pulmonology.

Professor O.M. Barna was the secretary of the Specialized Academic Council of O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University in the specialty “Therapy-Cardiology”, currently she is a member of the Specialized Academic Council at D. Halytsky Lviv National Medical University in the specialty “Therapy-Cardiology”. She carries out work on the supervision of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences on the control of cardiometabolic risk factors, gender cardiology and the organization of preventive programs.

O.M. Barna is the editor-in-chief of the journal “Medics. Anti-Aging”, as well as a member of the editorial boards of the journals “Medicines of Ukraine”, “Art of Treatment”, “Family Medicine”.

Therapeutic and diagnostic work is carried out at the medical bases of the department, by the leading consultant of the Eurolab clinic, where he participates in the work of councils in case of complex diagnostic and therapeutic cases.

In the specialty “Cardiology” O.M. Barna was awarded the highest medical category, as well as completed specialization in the specialties “Endocrinology” and “Rheumatology”.

International activity. Professor Barna actively integrates his scientific achievements into the international community, is a member of the Executive Committee of the European Association of Preventive Cardiology and Rehabilitation, co-author of the European Guidelines for Rehabilitation in Cardiology, works in the European Commission’s Working Group on Health EuroGenMed, which develops the European Strategy for the Prevention and Improvement of Treatment of Cardiac Pathology in Women.

O.M. Barna is a member of the Organizing Committee of the European Congress EuroPrevent, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Annual Congress “Prevention. Anti-aging. Ukraine” and the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Program “Chronic Diseases – Prevention and Control” – the scientific program includes a conference and training for family doctors and doctors of other specialties, which takes place monthly in different regions of Ukraine.

Social activities. She is active in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine – she is a member of the Public Council at the Ministry of Health, participated in the development of treatment standards of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for family doctors with diabetes mellitus, and is also a member of a number of commissions of the Ministry of Health on cardiovascular pathology.

Professor O.M. Barna is the founder of preventive and anti-aging medicine in Ukraine, Chairman of the Board of the All-Ukrainian Association of Preventive and Anti-Aging Medicine. The Association carries out significant work on patient education, trainings for doctors, social projects to promote a healthy lifestyle and medical education of the general population.

Professor O.M. Barna conducts active sanitary and educational work among the population, including speeches on radio and television, participation in medical press conferences, is the editor-in-chief of the magazine “Health” for the general public and the founder of the portal about a healthy lifestyle “Live actively”.

Kirzhner Gennadiy Davydovych

In 1993 he graduated with honors from the Bogomolets National Medical University with a degree in General Medicine.

In 1996 he completed his internship in General Practice

In 1997, he specialized in cardiology.

Until 2008, he worked as a cardiologist at the specialized cardiac resuscitation team of the Kyiv City Ambulance Station.

In 2003 he was invited to teach a course of emergency medicine at the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine) of Bogomolets National Medical University. O.O. Bogomolets (part-time work).

In 2006, he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences on the topic: “Treatment of patients with acute myocardial infarction at the prehospital stage using systemic therapy and non-hemoglobin oxygen carrier”.

Since 2008, she has been an assistant at the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine) at her main place of work.

In 2022, he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor.

In 2019 and to this day, he has been the head of the cardiology department of the Dokos-Medical company, which has become the clinical base of the department.

Gorobets Nataliia Mykhailivna Associate Professor of the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine), Head teacher of the Department, Candidate of Medical Sciences.

In 2001 she graduated from Vinnytsia National Medical University named after M.I. Pirogov with a degree in General Medicine. From 2001 to 2002 she completed an internship in therapy at Vinnytsia City Clinical Hospital No. 2. Since 2002 she has worked at the Department of Faculty Therapy of Vinnytsia National Medical University named after M.I. Pirogov. In 2005, at the Specialized Academic Council at the P.L. Shupyk Kyiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, she defended her Ph.D. thesis in specialty 14.01.02 – Internal Diseases on the topic: “Vasoregulatory function of the endothelium and the state of hemodynamics in patients with hypertension and nephrogenically caused arterial hypertension”. Since 2007 she has been working as an assistant at the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine) of Bogomolets National Medical University. Lyubarets Tatyana Fedorovna graduated from Kyiv Medical Institute named after O.O. Bogomolets in 1985.

After completing an internship at specialty “Therapy” in 1985-1986, during 1986-1987. Worked cardiologist of the “Sanatorium named after May 1” (Pushcha-Vodytsia), since 1987. to 2022 – Scientist of the Department of Radiation Hematology of the Institute of Clinical Department of Radiology of the State Institution “National Research Center for Radiation Medical Sciences of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine”.

Since March 2022 – Professor of the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine) of the National Medical University named after O. O. Bogomolets.

In 1995 she defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate “Kinin System and Blood Proteinase Inhibitors in Patients Exposed to effects of ionizing radiation as a result of the accident at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant” specialty 14.01.31 “Hematology and Blood Transfusion”.

During 1996- 2011 year participated in the Ukrainian-American project “Study of Leukemia and Other Hematological Disorders Among Clean-up Workers in Ukraine Following the Chornobyl Accident” (1996-2003 – hematologist, 2003-2011 – Scientific Secretary of the Project from the Ukrainian side).

In 2010 she defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences “Patterns of formation of chronic myeloproliferative diseases and myelodysplastic syndrome in irradiated persons in the remote period after accidents at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant: improvement of diagnostics and tactics treatment” in the specialties 03.00.01 “Radiobiology”, 14.01.31 “Hematology and blood transfusions.”

In 2013, she worked as a visiting professor of the control department Radiation Risks of the Atomic Bomb Institute, Nagasaki University (Japan). During 2016-2022. As a Leading Researcher The Department of Radiation Hematology was a co-leader of 3 research works on the study of the features of radiation-associated diseases in persons irradiated as a result of the accident at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant (state registration number 0116U003575, state registration number 0119U100873, state registration number 0122U001202).

In 2002, by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine, he was awarded the title of Senior Researcher in the specialty “Hematology and Transfusiology”.

Rudichenko Vitaliy Mikhailovich, Ph.D., Associate Professor

Rudichenko Vitaliy Mykhailovych, born in 1962, in 1985 graduated from the Kyiv Medical Institute (now Bogomolets National Medical University) with a diploma with honors in the specialty “General Medicine”.

Rudichenko V.M. 1985 He began his clinical residency in cardiology at the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases of the Kyiv Medical Institute (Head of the Department – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Prof. B.M. Shchepotin), which he graduated in 1987.

In the same year, he began working as a junior researcher in the laboratory of radioradiology of the Kyiv Research Institute of Endocrinology and Metabolism. On the basis of the laboratory, he performed research that became the basis of his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences on the topic “The state of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system and vasopressin secretion in patients with neuroendocrine-metabolic form of hypothalamic syndrome” in 1991. In 1992-1994 Internship at the Department of Hypertension and Vascular Lesions Research at G. Ford Hospital (Detroit, USA).

Rudichenko V.M. since 1998. has been working as an assistant at the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine) of Bogomolets National Medical University, since 2014. – as an Associate Professor.

Doctor of the highest qualification category in the specialty “General Practice-Family Medicine”. She has 39 years of medical experience. He enjoys well-deserved authority and respect among both patients and colleagues. He is proficient in modern methods of diagnosis and treatment. In addition to constant teaching and medical work, he is responsible for the department for the English-language form of education and international activities, conducts practical classes in English. Total teaching experience is 26 years.

He is the author and co-author of more than 220 scientific publications, including a national textbook in English, a textbook, a manual, a monograph, a curriculum of the discipline, a work program of the discipline in English, and three inventions. Hirsch index (Google Scholar – 5) and Scopus – 2.

Since 2001. to 2012 worked as an assistant at the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases No. 1 of Bogomolets National Medical University. Since 2009. to September 2015  – Part-time assistant of the Department of Therapy and Geriatrics of Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education.

Since 2015. works as an assistant at the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine) of Bogomolets National Medical University, and since 2018 as an associate professor.

Nataliia Snihyr graduated from Bogomolets Kyiv Medical Institute in 1988. After completing her internship from 1989 to 1992, she worked as a district general practitioner in Kyiv. In 1992-1994. She studied in clinical residency in the specialty “Therapy” at the Department of Faculty Therapy No. 2 with a course of endocrinology and VPT of the Bogomolets Ukrainian State Medical University. In 1994-1997. She studied full-time postgraduate studies at the Department of Hospital Therapy No. 3 of the Bogomolets National Medical University. Since 1998 she has worked as an assistant, and from 2009 to the present – Associate Professor of the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine) of Bogomolets National Medical University. She is responsible for working with interns in the specialty “general practice-family medicine”.

In 2001, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Medical Works “The use of hematopoietic cells of the human embryonic liver in the treatment of cytostatic myelodepression in cancer patients”

He is the author and co-author of 49 scientific publications, including a textbook, a manual, 2 methodological recommendations, and a patent for an invention.

SABADASH VASYL YEVHENOVYCH. Associate Professor of the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine), Candidate of
Medical Sciences

therapy in 1979. In 1980-1981 he was a resident physician at the anti-infarction department of the 1st Central Hospital in Luhansk. From 1981 to 1983 he worked as a rheumatologist, and then as the head of the rheumatic cardiology department of the Central Hospital in Antratsyt, Voroshilovgrad region. In 1983-1988 he completed clinical residency, and then postgraduate studies in cardiology at the Kharkiv Research Institute of Therapy of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Since December 1988 he has been working as an assistant at the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases of Luhansk State Medical University. In 1990 he defended his Ph.D. thesis on the topic: “The state of hemodynamics, platelet hemostasis, prostacyclin-thromboxane system in patients with coronary artery disease with circulatory insufficiency in the dynamics of treatment”. Since 2002 he has been an associate professor at the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine. He has repeatedly taken advanced training courses. In 1981, a course of information on cardiology at the Department of Acute Coronary Insufficiency of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Cardiology. From December 1989 to January 1990 he improved his qualifications at the Faculty of Professional Education at the 1st Moscow Medical Institute. In 1995, 2001, 2006, 2011 he passed the cycles of advanced training at the National Medical University. Acad. Sci. O.O. Bogomolets. In 2000, he passed the pre-certification cycle in cardiology, and in 2009 he specialized in cardiology at Luhansk State Medical University, on the basis of the Department of Therapy of the Faculty of Professional Education. In December 1995, Associate Professor V.E. Sabadash was awarded the qualification of a general practitioner of the first category, and since 2001 – the highest category in cardiology. Sabadash V.E. has 89 scientific papers, two rationalization proposals and one invention.

Since February 2015 he has been an Associate Professor of the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine) of Bogomolets National Medical University. Sabadash V.E. teaches the main subjects in the state and English languages at the department.

In 2005 she graduated with honors from the Faculty of Medicine of the Bogomolets National Medical University.

From August 2005 to July 2007, according to the direction of the Main Department of Health and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, in the specialty “General Practice-Family Medicine”, she completed an internship at the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine) of the Bogomolets National Medical University (full-time cycle) and at the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 12 (part-time cycle). At the same time, in 2007 she graduated from the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine) of the Bogomolets National Medical University.

Siryk Viktoriia Olehivna. Assistant Professor of the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine), Candidate of Medical Sciences

She graduated from Bogomolets National Medical University in 2000 with a degree in General Medicine. From 2000 to 2001 she completed an internship in the specialty “therapy” on the basis of the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine) of Bogomolets National Medical University. Then she worked as a district general practitioner, head of the therapeutic department of the polyclinic. Currently, he is the head of the outpatient clinic of family medicine of the primary health care center No. 1 of the Dniprovskyi district of Kyiv. Yaroslav Smarovoz, Assistant Professor of the Department of General Practice and Family Medicine

In 2022 he graduated from the Faculty of Health and Medicine of Bogomolets National Medical University with a degree in General Medicine. While studying at the university, he was a member of the O.A. Kysel SSS, the head of the scientific circle of the OCGP department. From 2022 to 2024 he completed an internship in the specialty “General Practice-Family Medicine” on the basis of the Department of OCGP of Bogomolets National Medical University. From 2022 to 2024 he worked as a senior laboratory assistant at the Department of Ocgp of Bogomolets National Medical University.

Since 2024, she has been working as an assistant at the Department of General Practice-Family Medicine. Since 2024, he has been a postgraduate student of the OCGP Department.

He works as a general practitioner and family medicine at the Kyiv Clinical Hospital on railway transport No. 2.

He has 5 publications, including journals with Scopus indexing.

Novytska Alla Volodymyrivna. Associate Professor of the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine), Candidate of Medical Sciences

 In 1986 she graduated from the Bogomolets Kyiv Medical Institute (now Bogomolets National Medical University) with a degree in General Medicine.

1986-1987 – completed an internship in therapy. 1987-1990 – worked as a district general practitioner. 1990-1992 – clinical residency in the specialty “Internal Diseases” at the Department of Faculty Therapy N2 with a course of endocrinology of the Bogomolets Kyiv Medical Institute. 1992-1995 – postgraduate studies in the specialty “Internal Medicine” at the same department. 1996-2008 – Assistant Professor of the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine) of Bogomolets National Medical University. From 2009 to the present – Associate Professor of the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine) of Bogomolets National Medical University. Qualification categories – doctor of the highest category in the specialty “General Practice-Family Medicine”, doctor of the highest category in the specialty “Therapy”.

One of the areas of scientific and therapeutic activity is the development of methods of treatment with cell suspensions of fetal origin containing stem cells. In 1994, she became one of the organizers of the first university-level cell therapy clinic in Ukraine “EmCell”. In 2001-2003. – Leading Researcher of the Department of Embryonic Stem Cell Transplantation of the Coordination Center for Transplantation of Organs, Tissues and Cells of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. 2004–2018 – an employee of the Cell Therapy Unit of the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital of Emergency Medical Care.

Scientific interests are currently related to the issues of preventive, anti-aging therapy, endocrinology, cardiology.

He is the author of more than 94 scientific works, including 8 domestic and international patents, three methodological recommendations approved by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, a textbook, methodological recommendations for students and teachers, educational and work programs.

Pogrebnyak Olena Oleksandrivna, Assistant Professor of the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine), Candidate of Medical Sciences

In 2003 she graduated from the Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academy (Poltava).

2003-2004 – clinical residency in the specialty “therapy” at the Department of Hospital Therapy of the Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academy.

2004-2008 – postgraduate study in “therapy” at the Department of Hospital Therapy of the Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academy.

In 2013, she defended her Ph.D. thesis on the topic “The impact of endothelial dysfunction correction on the clinical course of coronary heart disease in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus”.

Since 2014, he has been the head of research projects at the Association of Preventive and Anti-Aging Medicine.

Since 2015 she has been working as an assistant at the Department of General Practice-Family Medicine of Bogomolets National Medical University.

Research interests: research work on the study of methods of prevention and treatment of diseases of internal organs.

Implementation in clinical practice: co-author of a patent of Ukraine for a utility model, an information letter and innovations in the health care system of Ukraine.

In 2016, she graduated with honors from the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

In 2018, she completed an internship in internal diseases at the Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education.

From 2018 to the present, she has been working at the Communal Non-Profit Enterprise “Primary Health Care Center No. 1” of the Podilskyi district of Kyiv, at the same time she received the specialization “General Practice-Family Medicine” on the basis of the P.L. Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education.

Since 2019, she has been a part-time assistant at the Department of General Practice (Family Medicine).

He is a full member of the Association of Preventive and Anti-Aging Medicine and the Ukrainian Association of Family Medicine.

He is an active participant in domestic and international conferences, congresses, and training workshops.
