  • Main directions of work –

Research activities performed by the Ukrainian Family Medicine Training Center, aimed at developing of new methods of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the most common human diseases, the introduction of new technologies and equipment for high quality health care, treatment, pharmaceuticals, the creation of new and improvement of existing technologies for the prevention of the most common human diseases, creation of the latest technologies for improving the quality of life (life sciences), new technologies for the prevention and treatment of the most common diseases) in the context of the introduction of modern practice of family medicine.

 

  • Research work

Successfully completed research works:

1) “Scientific and methodological support for the creation and implementation of a system of continuous professional development of doctors in the specialty general practice-family medicine”, 2007-2009, state registration number 0106U004078;

2) “Justification of development and implementation of the model of public-oriented primary health care on the basis of general practice-family medicine for rural areas in Ukraine”, 2009-2011, state registration number 0109U001798;

3) “Justification of the system of mechanisms of introduction of innovative technologies in primary health care in Ukraine”, 2012-2014, state registration number 0112U001766.

Research work, which currently  performed:

4) “Development of a system for combating the spread of socially dangerous hemocontact viral infections at the level of primary care in the context of public health in Ukraine”. Applied. State registration number 0118U001212. Timeframe – 01/01/2018 – 12/31/2020.

 

  • Grant activity:
  • International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH) of University of Washington (USA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Controls (CDC) in Ukraine,U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), supported by CDC through US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) in Ukraine.

Project: Strengthening Clinical and Administrative Potential of HIV Service in Ukraine

(Improving Access to and Quality of HIV Care and Treatment through strengthening training capacities of UCFM in the area of in-service medical education at the national level). Development of the training course and conducting series of trainings with international participation of certificate programs,including distance learning forms. Training Guide was published;

  • USAID HIV Reform in Action Project Grants Program, Deloitte Consulting LLP; University of California, San Francisco. Project: Development of public health certificate program. Development of the training course and conducting series of training course with

international participation “Modern Aspects of Public Health”. Training Guide was published;

  • The International Renaissance Foundation. Project: Development of the training course and conducting series of trainings with international participation “Management of controlled substance in the practice of family doctors”. Training Guide was published;
  • WHO “Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD): Prevention and Health Promotion in Ukraine” with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).Project: Development of the training courses and conducting series of trainings of certificate programs with distance learning forms;
  • The program “Women’s Health of Ukraine”, implemented in Ukraine by the Institute of Research and Training “John Snow Inc.”. Project: Development of the training course and conducting series of trainings of certificate program “Topical Issues of Planned Parenthood in Family Medicine Practice”. Guidelines was published;
  • Consortium of Universities for Global Health /CUGH;
  • Access Community Health Network (ACCESS), USA;
  • American Councils for International Education (ACTR / ACCELS). Legislative Fellows Program / LFP of the US Department of State.
  • Based on the UCFM, in cooperation with Lanzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Ukrainian-Chinese Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine QIHUANG was established in 2013, within the framework of implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between theBogomolets NMU and the University of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Gansu Province (PRC) and the Health Department of Gansu Province, with the support and assistance of the Chine Embassy in Ukraine.
