Department of obstetrics and gynecology of postgraduate education

The department of obstetrics and gynecology of postgraduate education was founded on August 1, 2015 in accordance with the order of the National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets from June 22, 2015 No. 458 on the basis of Kyiv City Maternity Hospital No. 5. In 2021, it was reorganized into the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Neonatology of postgraduate education.

The tactical tasks of the department of obstetrics and gynecology of postgraduate education are:

– general management of the initial process of intern doctors at clinical bases;

– development of new curricula and constant updating of existing ones, taking into account changes in educational and qualification characteristics;

– development of methodical support, which would allow teaching at the appropriate level topics that are not reflected in the existing plans or are artificially distributed among individual departments;

– work on new teaching aids that would take into account new modern technologies and methods of diagnosis and treatment; optimizing lecture programs and changing the approach to their delivery;

– the need to work according to the general schedule of lectures during the full-time cycle for the entire flow of interns;

– organization and quality control of preparation for the Elex computer exam and Step-3 exam, etc.

According to the decision of the Academic Council of NMU named after O.O. Bogomolets of 08/30/2021, according to order No. 592 of 08/31/2021 on the reorganization of departments at the Institute of Postgraduate Education, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Postgraduate Education will be reorganized into the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Neonatology of Postgraduate Education.
