Department of descriptive and clinical anatomy

The Department of Descriptive and Clinical Anatomy is a fundamental department of the medical and biological profile and a supporting department among the single-specialty departments of higher medical education institutions. At the Department of Descriptive and Clinical Anatomy, students study the structure and functions of the human body, acquire a fundamental understanding of anatomy, which is necessary for learning practical skills and successful treatment of patients.

Human anatomy is the basis for the development of clinical disciplines and modern medicine in general. Her research results and best practices are widely applied in the clinic, which contributes to the improvement of health care and people’s quality of life.

The Department of Descriptive and Clinical Anatomy plays the most important role in the training of doctors. Prominent figures of domestic medicine, professors, academicians and Honored Doctors of Ukraine began their journey in medicine from this department, which laid the foundations of the future profession.
