Public and Edicational Activities
Responsible: Oleg Slobodianyk, PhD, associate professor of the Department of Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology and Postgraduate Education
Educational work with students and interns at the Department of Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology and Postgraduate Education of the Bogomolets National Medical University is a continuous and multidimensional process of educating young people and young physicians that addresses educational, scientific and social goals. Activities and talks on patriotic, historical and cultural education, promotion and preservation of the heritage of the department and the university are held at the department.
During lectures and practical classes attention is payed to the social role of the doctor, forming a sense of responsibility, ethical, deontological aspects in the profession. Healthy lifestyles, racial and religious tolerance are actively promoted.
Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology №1 and Obstetrics, Gynecology and Neonatology of Postraduate Education conducted a course in laparoscopic gynecology
In December 2025, on the basis of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1, in cooperation with the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Neonatology of Postgraduate Education of O. O. Bohomolets National Medical University, the thematic advanced training cycle “Simulation-Based Training: Basic Course in Laparoscopic Gynecology” was successfully conducted.
The practical component of the course was delivered using modern laparoscopic box trainers. Under the guidance of the course instructors, Olha M. Proshchenko and Vladyslav O. Berestovyi, participants consistently practiced basic motor skills, bimanual coordination, and precision of movements, progressing from simple tasks to complex clinical scenarios.

Certification of Medical Interns in the Specialty “Obstetrics and Gynecology”
On June 24, 2025, the final certification of medical interns in the specialty “Obstetrics and Gynecology” took place at the clinical bases of the Departments of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Neonatology of Postgraduate Education and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology №1 of Bogomolets National Medical University.
The examination consisted of two components—theoretical and practical—and was conducted under conditions the closest to real clinical practice. It involved the use of mannequins, standardized patients, and the simulation of practical clinical cases that physicians encounter almost daily in their independent professional practice.

Scientific and Practical Conference “Dynamic Changes in Perspectives on Issues of Obstetrics and Gynecology”
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology №1 organized a scientific and practical conference entitled “Dynamic Changes in Perspectives on Issues of Obstetrics and Gynecology” at Boпomolets National Medical University on May 20–21.
The event, held in a hybrid format, brought together a wide audience, including obstetricians-gynecologists, general practitioners (family physicians), and neonatologists, and focused on discussing the most relevant contemporary views and scientific advances in the field.

Olympiad in Obstetrics and Gynecology
On March 31, 2025, the first stage of the Olympiad in Obstetrics and Gynecology was held at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology №1 of Bogomolets National Medical University at the Kyiv City Perinatal Center.
