Training and methodological work
Educational and Methodological Work 2024-2025 s.y.
Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology №1 provides teaching of the educational discipline “Obstetrics and Gynecology” and related elective courses (“Endoscopic methods of treatment in gynecology”, “Emergencies in Obstetrics and Gynecology”) for Ukrainian and Foreign students of 4-6 courses of Мedical Faculty №1, Faculty For Training Of Doctors For The Armed Forces Of Ukraine, Medical Psychological Faculty, Faculty For Training Of Foreign Citizens.
In accordance with the educational programs for specialties 222 “Medicine” and 225 “Medical Psychology”, appropriate work programs have been developed for students of 4th-6th years of studying.
After introduction of “Step-2” and “Step-3” licensing exams, department employees are constantly involved in the work of the Testing Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine to create and replenish the bank of test tasks in the educational discipline “Obstetrics and Gynecology”.
Post-graduate training of specialists is conducted at the department: specialization of interns in the field of “Obstetrics and Gynecology” and “General Practice-Family Medicine”, scientific and practical training of masters of medicine, clinical residents, full-time and part-time graduate students. Over the past ten years, graduate students have been trained who, under the guidance of professors of the department completed and successfully defended their candidate theses.
The department conducts advanced training within the relevant faculty for teachers of higher medical educational institutions of the III-IV accreditation levels in the discipline “Obstetrics and Gynecology”.
The educational process is fully provided with educational literature. Under the editorship of the corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine professor B.M. Ventskivskyi and professor D.O.Govsieiev textbooks “Obstetrics” and “Gynecology” were published in Ukrainian and English, as well as a sufficient number of methodological manuals and reference books.
