On 2 April, the Business School for Pharmaceutical Professionals was officially opened by Arterium Pharmaceutical Company. On 23 November, a large-scale Career Guidance Day was held at the Bogomolets National Medical University. Numerous motivational lectures and master classes on 26 specialities were held for students of different courses and specialities. Associate Professor Mykola Shumeiko gave a practice-oriented lecture with a demonstration on the topic: «Manufacturing and small-scale production of solid dosage forms». We sincerely thank all the participants!
On November 22, 2024, students of the Department of Pharmacy and Industrial Drug Technology took part in the pharmacological and pharmaceutical direction of the AYMS Conf 2024 conference, organised by the Student Scientific Society named after O. A. Kisel. A total of 9 reports were presented (4 of which were prepared by the students of the students scientific club of the Department of Pharmacy and Industrial Drug Technology under the guidance of Koziko N.O., Hlushchenko O.M., Butkevych T.A.). Kateryna Mykhailova received a third degree Diploma for her report. We congratulate the winning participant and her supervisor associate professor Nataliia Koziko, and thank all students for their active participation in the scientific event!
Also, as part of AYMS Conf 2024, associate professor Nataliia Koziko held a masterclass on the preparation of powders in a pharmacy. Each participant had the opportunity to work on the technique of working with a mortar and pestle, to learn the rules of grinding and mixing substances with different physical and chemical properties.
On 9 November 2024, members of the Students scientific club of the Department of Pharmacy and Industrial Drug Technology Kateryna Mykhailova, Maryna Pidrushniak, Ivan Kalachov (group 11801, 4th year), Oleksandr Sergienko (group 10803, 5th year) took part in the competition of team projects of the conference «Pharm Future: Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry Brand», organised by Arterium Corporation and UkrTeenScience Foundation. The students took first place (Kateryna Mykhailova) and third place (Maryna Pidrushniak, Ivan Kalachov) as part of the combined teams from various universities of Ukraine.
On September 17-20, 2024, the Head of the Department, Professor Zhanna Polova and Assistant Tetiana Butkevych took part in the international scientific conference ‘The BioGENext Conference 2024: Shaping the Future of Medicine through Biomedical Research and Development’, organised by the Ukrainian Pharmaceutical Corporation YURiA-PHARM and the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine(https://event.fourwaves.com/biogenext/page).
On June 19-20, 2024, in Warsaw, associate professor Olena Hlushchenko took part in the international specialised exhibition FARMACOM, Targi PCI DAYS Pharma & Kosmetyc INDUSTRY TRADE FAIR w EXPO XXI.
On June 10-16, 2024, members of the student’s scientific club of the Department of Pharmacy and Industrial Drug Technology Tetiana Tatianych-Radkivska (group 1082B), Kateryna Dzhihirei (group 1182A) and Kateryna Mykhailova (group 11801) presented oral reports at the International Research-Based Scientific Conference at Tbilisi State Medical University, where they presented the results of their own research, carried out under the scientific guidance of the teachers of the department (prof. Zhanna Polova, assoc. prof. Olena Hlushchenko, assoc. prof. Natalia Koziko, assis. Tetiana Butkevych).
On 25 October 2024, 4th year students of the Faculty of Pharmacy attended an online tour organised by the pharmaceutical company Kusum Pharm (KusumUA). The meeting was moderated by Volodymyr Kosenkov, Public Relations Manager and Director of the Kusum Charitable Foundation. The students got acquainted with the structure of the pharmaceutical company’s production facilities (API and excipients storage departments, quarantine storage areas for finished medicines) and the quality control department.
On 16 May 2024, Zhanna Polova, Head of The Department of Pharmacy and Industrial Technology of Drugs, and Olena Нlushchenko, Associate Professor of the Department, took part in the trilateral conference “Business and Education in the Pharmaceutical Industry. A recipe for effective cooperation”, organised by the pharmaceutical company Arterium. The conference was devoted to discussing the problems of mismatch between education and labour market needs and developing new opportunities for bringing higher education institutions and business closer together to improve the quality of training of future specialists.
This year, the students of The Department of Pharmacy and Industrial Technology of Drugs joined the All-Ukrainian competition of student’s scientific works in the fields of knowledge and specialties in the academic year 2023-2024.

Together with the Ukrainian Pharmaceutical Student Association @upsa.ukraine, Darnitsa Pharmaceutical Company implements the Pharm Buddy mentoring programme, under which the employees of the company act as mentors to students.
Mentors and future pharmacists work together to develop individual development plans that allow them to understand all aspects of professional life.

At the beginning of November 2022, 3rd year students of the Faculty of Pharmacy Nataliia Petryk and Liliia Mykhailovska attended the Autumn Assembly organised by the European Pharmaceutical Students’ Association. The Congress was held in Greece. The participants’ programme consisted of two symposia, a workshop and a training of their choice. In October 2019, a master class was carried out by the cosmetics company of the manufacturer «Denova» at the Department of Pharmacy and Industrial Technology of Drugs, which was participated by the staff of the Department and students of the 5th course of the 581K Pharmaceutical faculty.
The master-class was carried out by Zhanna Brokhova – medical specialist of the first category, cosmetologist, master of shugaring, certified technologist for professional cosmetics of the company «Denova», teacher of cosmetology and shugaring.
The international seminar «Unicum from Hungary – Prostaglandin chemistry» was held by department of pharmacy and industrial technology of drugs on 20, May, 2011 within the festival “Year of chemistry and Day of Science of France in Ukraine”.

III (65) International scientific practical congress of students and young scientists “Urgent problems in modern medicine” was held on 12-14, October, 2011 on the base of Bogomolets National medical university.
This year the congress was devoted to three outstanding jubilees: 170th anniversary of Bogomolets National medical university, 130th anniversary of O.A. Kysil Students’ scientific society and 200th anniversary since birthday of the first dean in medical faculty at Emperor St. Volodymyr University professor Volodymyr Opanasovych Karavayev.
The plenary meeting of separate section “Technology of drug” was held for the first time at department of pharmacy and industrial technology of drugs. Earlier the section was united with the section at department of organization and economics in pharmacy.

7 oral reports were presented at the section. The reporters were students from Bogomolets NMU, post-graduate student in Shupiko NMAPE and post-graduate at department of pharmaceutical technology, management and economics of health care FGAOU VPO “Belgorod state national research university”.

The works of all participants were published in the issue of special edition by HEB of Ukraine “Ukrainian scientific medical journal for youth”.
