SCIENTIFIC EDUCATIONAL SEMINAR BY SOCIETY OF YOUNG SCIENTISTS AND SPECIALISTS AT NMU “WARNINGFOOD” TO WORLD HEALTH DAY 2015
The World Health Organization celebrates 7, April as a World Health Day. Every year the topic of this holiday is changed and devoted to the most urgent problems of public health in the planet. This year WHO established the following topic of World Health Day “Safety of food products”.
It is already the tradition to celebrate this international holiday at O.O. Bohomolets NMU. Our university together with the Ministry of health care of Ukraine, National academy of medical sciences of Ukraine and Bureau of WHO in Ukraine performed the regular international scientific practical conference.
The young scientists also joined to celebration of this holiday at the university. The society of young scientists and specialists performed the regular scientific educational seminar “WarningFood”. All, who desired and interested in topic of safe food, were invited to take part in the seminar. In total 70 persons, who do not have the medical education, and 80 pupils from Ukrainian medical lyceum of NMU took part in the seminar.
The Chairman in Council of Society of young scientists and specialists Vladyslav Moroz, who made the introductory speech about the topic of World Health Day in 2015, opened the seminar and told about the work and future projects by Society of young scientists and specialists of NMU, invited all desired people to join to implementation of planned projects.

The seminar included the reports on the following topics:
“Safety of food products. Five keys to safety of food products” (Lev Prystupiuk),
“Skin on the plate” (Liudmyla Naumova),
“One plate for two persons” (Kateryna Murlanova),
“GMO: what are they and how are they eaten?” (Pokotylo Oksana),
“Fats. Useful and harmful” (Ivanna Sakhanda)”,
“Healthy nutrition. Rules and consequences from their violation” (Tetiana Tarasiuk).

All participants were acquainted with the modern approaches to safe storage, cooking and consumption of food products. They discussed the urgent topic of healthy nutrition, safety in consumption of food additives, products that contain GMO, transgenic fats. The participants were especially interested in topic of the proper nutrition for pregnant women, recommendations about useful products for human skin. The report about basics of healthy nutrition was finished by demonstration of those diseases that appear at people, who ignore the safety of nutrition; the main methods for conservative and surgical treatment of adiposity were demonstrated.
