SECTOR OF MOLECULAR GENETIC RESEARCH

The main areas of research:

  • Isolation and quantitative measurement of DNA, RNA
  • Determination of the degree of gene expression by determining the amount of mRNA
  • Measurement of the relative amount of regulatory microRNA
  • Screening for SNP- (Single nucleotide polymorphism), single nucleotide polymorphisms

The results of scientific research are published in 17 articles, 3 monographs (sections) and presented in the form of oral reports and posters at numerous Ukrainian and international congresses and forums (35 abstracts). The obtained results expand the understanding of cellular and molecular mechanisms of action of vitamins D and E, as well as bisphosphonates on the state of signaling systems involved in the pathogenesis of diabetes and secondary osteoporosis, which justifies the use of these compounds for prevention and treatment of these diseases, as well as of creation of new based on them medications.
