Participation in the scientific and educational project “World Cancer Day 2024”
(R.E. Kavetsky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine)

With the assistance of the Department of Biology of the Bogomolets National Medical University, on 6th February, 2024, a webinar was held as part of the scientific and educational project “World Cancer Day 2024”, which was attended by more than 80 students, as well as scientific and pedagogical workers, which was coordinated by the Senior teacher of the Department of Biology, Candidate of Biological Sciences O.M. Hurniak

During the webinar, the following reports were presented and discussed:

1.Prostate cancer, modern clinical approaches to diagnosis and treatment of patients

(speaker: Tymoshenko Andriy)

2.Molecular and biological heterogeneity as a factor in the progression of prostate cancer

(speaker: Zadvorny Taras)

There was a lively discussion based on the report materials, in which members of the Student scientific club of the Department of Biology of the Bogomolets National Medical University took an active part.

Participation in the seminar “Immune system and cancer: the battle for life” on the occasion of the International Day of Immunology

On 29th April, 2024, members of the Student scientific club of the Department of Biology of the Bogomolets National Medical University together with scientific and pedagogical workers participated in the discussion of the reports presented at the seminar:
