Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Mental Health of the Bogomolets National Medical University.

Chaban O.S. Born in 1955, graduated from the Ternopil State Medical Institute (medical faculty) (now it is the Ternopil State Medical University named after I.Ya. Gorbachevsky) in 1978.

He worked as the deputy chief physician for medical work of the Ternopil Regional Clinical Psychoneurological Hospital (1983-1999); head of the Department of Psychiatry with a course in the basics of psychology and medical psychology of the Ternopil State Medical Academy named after I.Ya. Horbachevsky (1999 – 2002); head of the Department of Borderline States and Somatoform Disorders of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Social and Forensic Psychiatry and Narcology of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (2002-2015).

Since 2002, he has been working as a professor at the Department of General and Medical Psychology of the O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University, and since 2015 – on a permanent basis, by competition – as the head of the Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy of the O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University.

He defended his PhD thesis in 1991 in the specialty “Psychiatry” and his doctoral thesis in the same specialty in 1998. Professor in the specialty “Psychiatry” since 2006.

In addition to his main specialization in psychiatry, he also specialized in the specialties “Child Psychiatry”, “Medical Psychology”, “Psychotherapy”.

He is the President of the All-Ukrainian Association of Psychosomatic Medicine, Vice-President of the Association of Psychotherapists and Psychoanalysts of Ukraine (APPU), a certified psychoanalyst of the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP) (Austria), a member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA) (USA), the European Federation of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (EFPP) (Great Britain), the International Association of Group Psychotherapy (IAGP) (Switzerland). Total number of scientific papers for 2023: 450 publications in scientific publications, including abroad, monographs, textbooks and anthologies, has two registered inventions.

Chaban O.S. is a highly qualified psychiatrist (highest certification category), medical psychologist and psychotherapist, who owns modern methods and techniques of psychodiagnosis and treatment, including modern psychotherapeutic ones. He actively implements them into the practical health care system and trains students and doctors in these methods. He is a member of the working commissions of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for writing Clinical Guidelines and Protocols in the field of psychiatry. Editor-in-chief of the journal “Psychosomatic Medicine and General Practice”, member of the editorial boards of scientific journals: “Archives of Psychiatry”, “Bulletin of Psychoneurology”, “Psychiatry, Neurology and Medical Psychology”, “Psychological Counseling and Psychotherapy”, “Bulletin of Scientific Research”, “International Psychiatric, Psychotherapeutic and Psychoanalytic Journal”. Member of the international expert group of the NATO Science for Peace and Security Programme, participant in the creation of the Guideline “Risk Management of Terrorism Induced Stress Guideline for the Golden Hours and first month (Who, What and When)”.

From 2015 to 2023, he worked as the head of the Department of Medical Psychology, Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy, the chairman of the Academic Council of the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology.

Since 2023, a member of the working group (expert) of the Coordination Center for Mental Health of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Spokesperson for the mass media (leading TV channels of the country, interviews with foreign publications) of the National Program “How are you?” and focused on the mental health of the population of Ukraine.

Awarded the medal “People’s Honor” (international academic popularity rating “Golden Fortune”), diplomas, thanks from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Paracelsus medal (Europaische Akademie der Naturwissenschatten, Hannover).

He has repeatedly been involved in providing medical and psychological assistance in crisis situations, providing assistance to citizens of Ukraine, after terrorist acts, man-made or natural disasters, both in Ukraine and abroad.

In 2015-2017, he performed medical and diagnostic work and scientific work in the combat zone in eastern Ukraine, provided medical assistance in hospitals of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and was repeatedly sent to the combat zone.

During the same period, he was involved in teaching the basics and propaedeutic psychiatry of wartime, techniques of psychological diagnostics and correction in the process of training military chaplains. He was awarded a church diploma from the Department of Military Clergy.

He is characterized by high pedagogical skills, interest in what he does and teaches, can motivate and captivate with his profession.

Graduated from the O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University in 2018. Obtained the qualification: educational and qualification level specialist, specialty “Medical Psychology”, professional qualification specialist doctor.

In 2018-2019, she studied for an internship at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Postgraduate Education of the O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University

In 2023-2024, she underwent respecialization in the specialty of Psychiatry.

The Ukrainian Physiological Society named after P.G. Kostyuk is a member of the Federation of European Physiological Societies (FEPS) and the International Union of Physiological Sciences (IUPS).

 

TETIANA SVIATOSLAVIVNA GLADUN

ECTS Curator (specialty 225 “Medical Psychology”), Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor

From 2001 to 2006, a student at Rivne State Humanitarian University. From 2007 to 2010, she studied at the postgraduate program at Rivne State Humanitarian University in the specialty 13.00.01 – general pedagogy and history of pedagogy (with a break from production).

In 2014, she was awarded the scientific degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences in the specialty Theory and Methods of Vocational Education (DK№025447). In 2019, she was enrolled for two years as a doctoral student at the M.P. Dragomanov National University.

From November 4 to December 13, 2019, she completed a scientific and pedagogical internship at the Kuyavian University in Włocławek (Republic of Poland) on the topic: “Problems and process of reforming education in the field of natural sciences in Ukraine and EU countries”.

From January 17, 2022 to January 28, 2022, she completed advanced training for scientific and pedagogical employees of higher education institutions for 60 academic hours (2 ECTS credits) on the topic: “Online tools for organizing distance and blended learning in a medical university”. In December 2022, she was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor of the Department of General and Medical Psychology (AD No. 011744).

Author of over 60 scientific papers. Constantly improves her qualifications. Active participant of all-Ukrainian, regional international (Poland, Great Britain, France, USA, Austria, Lithuania) conferences, seminars.

Author of the social project: “Together we are strength” the purpose of which is emergency psychological assistance to the population (adults and children) of Kyiv during martial law in Ukraine.

She was engaged in the organization and is the founder of the project “Diagnosis of individual characteristics and design of individual psychological and pedagogical support for the development of preschool children from families of ATO participants and internally displaced persons” for psychologists of preschool educational institutions in Kyiv and Brovary.

Participated in the research work of the department “Modern Problems of Psycho-Oncology” (2020 – 2022), one of the results of which was the development of the curriculum: “Oncopsychology and Palliative Care”

Lectures, conducts practical and seminar classes, at the level of higher education requirements, using modern methods of teaching psychological and pedagogical disciplines, a clear focus on the practical needs of future specialists.
