MEETING WITH PARTICIPANTS IN LIQUIDATION OF THE CHORNOBYL DISASTER

All-Ukrainian union of veterans of Afghanistan and Chornobyl, division of humanitarian education and upbringing at O.O. Bohomolets NMU and public organization “STUDDOVIRA” on 11, December organized and performed the meeting of students from NMU and pupils from Ukrainian medical lyceum with participants in liquidation of the Chornobyl disaster, which was devoted to Day of participant in liquidation of the Chornobyl disaster.

During the meeting the students and pupils learnt the tragic historical events in Ukraine directly from the people-witnesses and co-participants in those events.

The participants in the meeting had the possibility to watch the new documentary film “Chornobyl. 3828”, which main character is Valeriy Starodumov – a legend that in December, 1986 put the flag on the roof of the 4^th unit, symbolizing the victory of people over disaster. The film received Grand-Prize at International festival of documentaries (c. Kyiv, 2012).

Producer – Ham Salganik is also the author of world famous documentary “Chornobyl. Two colors of the time”.
