THE REPAIR OF RAMP IS FINISHED
The repair of the ramp, which is located near physical chemical building of university, was finished at O.O. Bohomolets National medical university.
The facility was in deteriorated conditions and was not used due to the purpose: the canteen, hall and toilets, for which the ramp served as the ceiling were in emergency conditions, as well as the esthetical exterior of physical chemical building was damaged.
According to the words by administrative manager of physical chemical building of O.O. Bohomolets NMU Volodymyr Proschenko, since his staying at the post the repair of this important facility was not performed and was in emergency state. “The ramp at the same time is the ceiling of canteen, hall, students and sanitary rooms and technical premises, which are located in block B in ground floor of physical chemical building, as well as the approach road to two main entries to different block C and B in the first floor. The road concrete slabs were installed on the ramp. The cars used to drive on it before and in the course of time the concrete slabs were broken and there were the cracks on them and the hydraulic seal that was under them was destroyed”, – tells Volodymyr Proschenko.
As the administrative manager of physical chemical building told, the former university administration removed the part of slabs and hid behind the building, where they were for some years and the part was put with asphalt in order not to repair anything. Due to the fact that the asphalt on the ramp is not the hydraulic seal, the water started penetrating into the cracks and spreading between the slabs, and later it penetrated into the premises. For a certain period of time the employees of university could not find the sources of leakage. Thus, the property of university was ruined – the lighting lamps fell, the walls destroyed, the ceiling cracked, the fungi appeared.
At present moment the repair crew finished all kinds of works – the ramp, it has been planned, was repaired before the new academic year. It has the new handrails with the brickwork, on the top there is the plaster, the road is coated by waterproof material and asphalt. The ramp was necessary in order to follow to all sanitary norms as now it will be used due to the purpose in order to facilitate the access to premises of Scientific research Institute of experimental and clinical medicine at O.O. Bohomolets National medical university.
The university administration will further continue updating the material technical base of NMU.
