I AM NOT HOLDING FOR MY POST, I AM AFRAID OF LUSTRATIONS AT UNIVERSITY, – K. AMOSOVA

The Ministry of health care of Ukraine with its order early terminated the contract and dismissed the rector at O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University Kateryna Amosova. The order was today notified to Doctor Amosova with serving the copies of the corresponding documents. As it is mentioned in the text of the order, the reason for such decision by MHC was the conclusions of the commission, which acknowledged the work of rector at NMU in 2017 to be unsatisfactory.

Kateryna Amosova called such actions by officers from Ministry of health care of Ukraine as unprecedented, which analogs there were none for the whole history of national system of medical education.

“I and the whole team of university timely prepared and presented the report about our work at higher school for 2017. It was approved at the conference of labor collective at NMU and at the meeting of board of trustees at university. The line for perspective development of our educational establishment was supported. The report, which had no questions during two months, was sent to our core ministry. Now, not only the groundless accusations were set for last year and for the period since 2014 until 2016. Thereby, the report of rector for 2016 was accepted by MHC last year already after verifications”, – emphasized Kateryna Amosova.

By the way, the arguments by MHC, mentioned in the order about termination of contract with rector, say nothing about “Krok-1”, which earlier was the reason for her dismissal from the post. The rector especially emphasized the fact that the officers from MHC, who blamed her in ignorance of instruction to come to the ministry to the meeting of commission for personal report for 2017, just ignored their own directive. This document dismissed Amosova from fulfillment of functional duties for the period of work for commission. And in opinion of rector she had just no legal right to submit the report about activity of higher school for 2017.

“I am not holding for my post of the rector! I have enough work both in scientific sphere and as a practitioner. The only thing that I am afraid of is that after my illegal dismissal the head, imposed on university, would arrange the total lustrations at NMU, which would stop all democratic processes at our higher schools”, – resumed Kateryna Amosova.

Rector Amosova, according to the order from MHC, will perform her duties until 16, April. Pursuant to her words she is going to appeal her dismissal. In the nearest future Kateryna Amosova together with advocates will prepare the corresponding claim and will defend her rights in judicial instances.
