THE JOINT MEETING OF STUDENTS’ SCIENTIFIC CLUBS TOOK PLACE

The joint meeting of students’ scientific clubs at department of children’s infectious diseases, department of operative surgery and topographic anatomy and department of bioorganic and biological chemistry took place on 17, May, 2016 in morphological building of O.O. Bohomolets National medical university.

The topic of the meeting was “Neurotropic infections in childhood. Lumbar puncture: technique of performance. Informativity in diagnostics of neuroinfections at children”.

The following persons were present at multidisciplinary meeting: the dean of medical faculty No 3, professor Oksana Vygovska, head at department of bioorganic and biological chemistry, professor Liudmyla Gayova, assistant professor at department Zoya Skorobogatova and scientific supervisor of students’ club at department of children’s infectious diseases, assistant professor Oksana Korbut.

The theoretical part of the meeting consisted of reports by students – Ostap Moschyscha (Bannwarth syndrome), Iuliia Kudynenko (Masks of meningococcemia), Iryna Kovaliukh (Lumbar puncture), Serhii Baran (Biochemical aspects for analysis of cerebrospinal fluid) and Anastasiia Zaremba (Anatomical aspects for fulfillment of lumbar puncture). During practical classes the students performed the punctures on training devices mannequins and drew the anatomical marks, demonstrated the improvement of abilities on screens in lecture hall.

The performance of multidisciplinary meetings of scientific clubs by Students’ scientific center at medical faculty No 2 is the project, directed to deepen the knowledge and to share with experience of practical skills at students.
