IT IS PLANNED TO ESTABLISH THE BIOLOGICAL RESOURCE CENTER AT UNIVERSITY

In autumn of 2016 O.O. Bohomolets National medical university together with American Society for Microbiology (ASM) will start implementing the Project about organization and establishment of Biological resource center at university.
The biological resource center of ASM will provide with free online access to peer-reviewed English journals, which describe the modern data on issues of microbiology of infectious diseases, diagnostic means, as well as hard copy and online versions of recent editions of textbooks in abovementioned disciplines.
The establishment of such center will become the information, educational and scientific research platform for scientists, teachers and students. They will be able not only using the most modern scientific editions in microbiology and associated spheres but share the knowledge and opinions, performing the alternative classes, seminars, discussions, being integrated into powerful scientific community due to co-working principle.
Despite the existence of the advanced technologies for communication and information distribution, there is the problem on limited exchange of scientific knowledge in the academic environment. The guaranty for efficient receipt of knowledge and fulfillment of scientific research projects is the available access to modern information sources (peer-reviewed journals, textbooks, etc.), as well as the possibility to perform the group discussions among specialists in a certain sphere: work in scientific hubs or co-working. The provision with such approach is supported by American Society for Microbiology (ASM) through establishment of Biological resource centers in the sphere of microbiology and associated sciences all over the world, including Ukraine.
For information: American Society for Microbiology (ASM) is the largest scientific community of biologists all over the world. ASM distributes the results of its scientific researches through their publication in 18 peer-reviewed scientific journals, is engaged in publication of textbooks and scientific monographs, as well as provides with the platforms for exchange of information through performance of conferences and trainings, acknowledged at the international level.
