THE DEPARTMENTS IN MORPHOLOGICAL BUILDING OF NMU ARE UPDATED

O.O. Bohomolets National medical university completed the works on programs for update of classrooms, launched before. The repair was made according to the decision by Conference of labor collective and in order to improve the conditions for study of students and to establish the comfortable climate at university.

At the meeting for the Conference of labor collective, which was held on 28, April, 2015, they took the decision to approve the list of facilities, which require the capital repair. The premises in the 3rd and 4th floors in morphological building of university, where there are the departments of histology and embryology and physiology, accordingly, were in the worst conditions.

The competition for performance of tenders for purchase procedure was announced on 2, July, 2015. 5 firms participants took part in it. And already on 3, September, 2015 the Tender Committee of Bohomolets NMU announced the firm-winner in tender.

At the end of September, the Tender Committee of O.O. Bohomolets National medical university concluded the purchase agreement with the firm-winner and defined the sum in the amount of UAH 5,749,404.00 for fulfillment of repair works. All documentation passed through construction expertise. The tender procedure itself was carried out pursuant to all conditions and it defined the periods of repairs. It was planned to finish until 10, December, this year.

Until repair the students had studied in terrible conditions. Let’s remind that the fire happened in 2013 in morphological building, during which the roof and wooden partitions burnt. The study was held in these trouble premises in two shifts. According to the words by head at department of histology and embryology, professor Yuriy Chaykovskyy “the repair in these premises have not been made for more than 50 years and required the immediate modernization as the replacement of old electric wiring and windows for modern ones will correspond to the safety rules for students and teachers”.

On 29, December, 2015 university community entered the updated departments of histology and embryology and physiology that are in the 3rd and 4th floors, accordingly. The employees of departments took the direct part in works; they cooperated with the repair team, showed the desire to help in everything. As the head at department of physiology Ihor Mykolayovych Karvatskyy mentioned, we can not now recognize the classrooms “I have been working already for 20 years, the condition of premises during that time was poor. The most difficult thing in performance of repair works was that they were made during educational process. And the most pleasant thing was that our students with joy offered their help and treated the situation with understanding”.

The heads at updated departments made the excursions along repaired premises for representatives from university administration and students; everyone was satisfied with the result.
