“MODERN TECHNOLOGIES FOR ORGANIZATION OF CONTRACTION TO SPREAD OF HIV/AIDS AND DRUG ADDICTION: ROLE OF PRIMARY MEDICAL AID ON PRINCIPLES OF FAMILY MEDICINE”

The training with international participation “Modern technologies for organization of contraction to spread of HIV/AIDS and drug addiction: role of primary medical aid on principles of family medicine” will be held on 13-17, October, 2014, at Ukrainian training center of family medicine (UTCFM) of NMU within the cooperation of Bogomolets NMU and TECH (International educational practical health center of Washington University), which is the division of Global Health Department of Washington University.
The purpose of the training is to improve the level of training for specialists of family medicine on issues of prevention of HIV-infection, treatment and social psychological support of HIV-infected people.
This event was organized by specialists of UTCFM at NMU due to proposal by our partners from International Center of training and education in health care sphere at Global Health Department of Washington University (USA). The Memorandum about cooperation of universities will be concluded in June, 2014.
The participants in training will become 25 doctors from medical preventive establishments and teachers in higher medical schools of I-IV levels of accreditation in Ukraine, including general practitioners-family doctors in outpatient clinics from Vinnytsia, Poltava, Uzhgorod, Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk regions, teachers of nursing in family medicine at medical colleges, heads at departments and professors of higher medical schools in Ukraine.
Famous specialists: professor Christopher Behrens from Global Health Department of Washington University (USA), Liudmyla-Oksana Andriyishin, chief extraordinary specialist of health care department in regional state administration on palliative aid and director in educational and methodological center at Ivano-Frankivsk regional clinical center of palliative aid; Igor Kuzin, head at Center on monitoring and assessment for fulfillment of program events on contraction to HIV-infection/AIDS SE “Ukrainian center of control over social dangerous diseases at MHC of Ukraine”; Violeta Martsynovska, leading doctor-epidemiologist at SE “Ukrainian center of control over social dangerous diseases at MHC of Ukraine”; senior researcher at laboratory of epidemiology of parental viral hepatitis and HIV-infection SE “L.V. Gromashevskyy IEID at NAMS of Ukraine”; Alla Melnyk, psychologist – consultant on VCT at Kyiv city Center of AIDS, trainer on issues of prevention of HIV/AIDS among teenagers of risk groups and LGBT were invited to perform the training.
