RESULTS FROM THE II STAGE IN ALL-UKRAINIAN OLYMPIAD IN MEDICAL GENETICS

The II stage in all-Ukrainian students’ Olympiad in medical genetics among higher medical schools of Ukraine “Geneticist-2016”, which was held on 20-22, April at Kharkiv national medical university on the base of supportive department of medical genetics, finished on 22, April, 2016.

The representatives from 9 medical and classical HMS of Ukraine took part in the Olympiad. The team of O.O. Bohomolets National medical university was represented by students of the 5^th course in medical faculty No 1 Alyona Goncharuk, Iuliia Petrova and Yevgen Prystaya. The director of KhISMGC, corresponding member in NAMS of Ukraine, professor Olena Yakivna Grechanina opened the second stage in Olympiad and congratulated the present people.

The participants in Olympiad visited Kharkiv interregional specialized medical genetic center – Center of rare (orphan) diseases, which is the clinical base for department of medical genetics at KhNMU. The session of Minor genetic academy took place within the students’ Olympiad and the School in medical genetics was held.

The 1^st tournament of the 2^nd stage in students’ Olympiad consisted of test questions and “interpretation” of ideograms. On next day the students were offered to solve the situational tasks in medical genetics.

The winner in all-Ukrainian students’ Olympiad in medical genetics among higher medical schools in Ukraine was the student of O.O. Bohomolets National medical university Yevgen Prystaya. In the team total the students of our university took the 2^nd place, yielding only to the team from Kharkiv.
