ENGLISH TESTING FOR TEACHERS LASTS

The second part of the first stage in English testing for teachers from British Council in Ukraine was held on 22, June, 2016 in morphological building of O.O. Bohomolets National medical university. 40 teachers of universities passed through APTIS test during the day.

Let’s remind that O.O. Bohomolets National medical university, at the initiative of rector in University, professor Kateryna Amosova, on 2, February, 2016 was the first one among HM(P)S of Ukraine that signed the Agreement with British Council, which anticipates the long term and fruitful cooperation. The Agreement aims to improve the level of foreign language among teachers at leading higher schools in the state. The tests for the first 40 scientific pedagogical workers of NMU were held on 23 and 28, March, 2016.

All participants, who will pass through testing and have the high results, will receive the certificate that will certify the level of English at teacher. APTIS certificate is acknowledged at the state and international level.

Due to results from tests the corresponding study program for achievement of level B2 is developed for teachers, according to the words by specialists from department of planning and performance of exams “British Counsel”, sufficient for teaching, and the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine approved it for receipt of scientific degree.

According to the words by teachers at university, such educational projects will help to master the new teaching methodologies, to improve the level of English, correctly to structure the presentations and reading of lectures, as well as to add the vocabulary with occupational terms to simplify and to understand the material by foreign students of the first course.
