THE REPRESENTATIVES FROM NMU TOOK PART IN THE CONFERENCE “URGENT ISSUES IN QUALITY OF MEDICAL EDUCATION”

The representatives from O.O. Bohomolets National medical university on 12-13, May, 2016 took part in XIII all-Ukrainian scientific practical conference with international participation “Urgent issues in quality of medical education”, which was held on the base of educational recreational complex “Chervona Kalyna” at I. Gorbachevskyy Ternopil state medical university.

The following persons took part in the conference: pro-rector on scientific pedagogical activity, assistant professor Olena Stechenko, pro-rector on international relations and scientific pedagogical activity Tetiana Cherenko; head at department of pediatrics No 2, corresponding member in NAMS of Ukraine, head at sector of science and innovations at department for coordination of centers for reforms at MHC, professor Oleksander Volosovets; assistant professor at department of pediatrics No 1, head at sector of education at Department of personnel policy and education at MHC of Ukraine Yuriy Piatnytskyy; head at department of medical informatics and computer learning technologies, director in center of testing at MHC of Ukraine, professor Iryna Bulakh, assistant professor at department of medical informatics and computer learning technologies, member in Scientific methodic council at MES of Ukraine Maryna Mruga, deputy dean in medical psychological faculty, assistant professor at department of general and medical psychology and pedagogy, member in Scientific methodic commission No 12 on health care and social provision at sector of higher education at Scientific methodic council at MES of Ukraine Bohdan Bozhuk, chairman in Students’ parliament Kostiantyn Kovalishyn.

The scientific forum gathered the representatives from MHC of Ukraine, first pro-rectors and pro-rectos on scientific pedagogical activity, pro-rectors on international relations, pro-rectors on scientific activity, heads at academic methodic divisions and deans, representatives from council of young scientists at MHC of Ukraine, members in students’ council at MHC of Ukraine, representatives from scientific methodic commission of health care and social provision at MES of Ukraine, delegations from Poland and Georgia, over 300 participants from higher schools of Ukraine.

The conference is the important event for higher medical education in Ukraine, as during two days in work of the conference they approved the new standards for higher education in the sphere “Health care” and curricula, which, in opinion of Center for testing of professional competency at specialists with higher education in training directions “Medicine” and “Pharmacy” at MHC of Ukraine, completely correspond to modern specialties, according to which the training will be held.

The first working day was devoted to innovative directions in reformation of higher medical education and science, as well as presentation and approval of standards for higher medical education at the level of MHC of Ukraine.
During the second day they performed the meeting of the first rectors and pro-rectors on scientific pedagogical activity, where they discussed and approved educational programs due to all specialties; seminar-consultation of pro-rectors on international relations; seminar-consultation of pro-rectors on scientific work.
3 section meetings and separate meetings of Council of young scientists and Council of students’ self-government at MHC of Ukraine, in which the chairman in Students’ parliament at NMU took part, were held.
