TO MEMORY OF NEBESNA SOTNYA

The event, devoted to the memory of Nebesna Sotnya – brave Ukrainians and their bothers-in-arms from other nationalities, who perished in the center of Kyiv on 18-20, February, 2014, was held on 19, February, 2016 at University: they solemnly put the flowers to the memorial plague and met with the direct participants in events of two years ago.

The chairman in Public Council at MHC of Ukraine Maksym Ionov, actor Yevgen Nyschuk, producer Dmytro Chyryliuk, deputy of Verkhovna Rada of the first convocation Stepan Khmara, students Olesya Zhukovska and Dmytro Pryadun took part in the event.

They watched the film by producer Dmytro Chyryliuk about heroic sotnya, which went into the warm areas of eternity by crane caravan. The emotions, which filled in the present people, cannot be transferred by words: the people in keen sorrow bowed their head lowly to the memory of Heroes from Nebesna Sotnya, who fought for the honor, truth and dignity and gave their lives for the future of Ukraine.

Full lecture hall – students, lyceum pupils, teachers. The memories about events in Maydan, events that gave the push to the actions in all territory of the state were sounded from the tribune. They were the words about extraordinary important exam for the country, which demonstrated its aspiration for freedom. Taking care of the memory about perished people, everyone was sure that the hundreds of speeches was nothing in comparison with what the people from Nebesna Sotnya had done. They were common people, who during decisive days could not sit near TB sets and just watch what was happening in the streets of the capital. They did not think that they could perish; they only knew that Ukraine could not live by such a way further. Their deed is the great sacrificial love and if we understand it, there would be no evil between us.

А сотню Небесну вже зустріли небеса…

Летіли легко, хоч Майдан ридав…

Із кров´ю перемішана сльоза…

А батько сина ще не відпускав…

Й заплакав Бог, побачивши загін:

Спереду – сотник, молодий, вродливий

І юний хлопчик в касці голубій,

І вчитель літній – сивий-сивий…

І рани їхні вже не їм болять…

Жовто-блакитний стяг покрив їм тіло…

Як крила ангела, злітаючи назад,

Небесна сотня в вирій полетіла…
