OFFICIAL VISIT OF EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA IN UKRAINE

January 24, 2017 Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Ukraine Mr. Lee Yang-Goo and Consul Mr. Shin Kiu Ho officially visited NMU.

At the meeting with Mr. Ambassador were NMU Rector, Professor Kateryna Amosova, first Vice-Rector for Research and Academic Matters, Professor Yaroslav Tsekhmister, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Research and Education, Professor Olesia Lynovytska and the Head of the Department for International Cooperation, Hanna Malunova.

The purpose of the visit was the identification of the areas of possible cooperation of NMU and educational institutions, as well as the leading Korean companies specializing in information and communication technologies.

Both sides agreed that the promising directions of cooperation of our University with medical educational and medical institutions in Korea may be in joint scientific and educational studies, exchange of lecturers, professionals and students, as well as work on joint educational projects. Long-term and productive cooperation of the NMU and Korean institutions is possible in the development and implementation of information technologies in the studying process and the work of the clinic (e-learning, e-health, Digital hospital). A promising area of cooperation, of course, is the joint work in the field of biotechnology.
