DISCUSSION OF CONCEPT “DEVELOPMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH SYSTEM IN UKRAINE”

The representatives from O.O. Bohomolets National medical university took part in work of round table “Development of public health system in Ukraine”.

The meeting was held at Committee of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on issues of health care and was devoted to discussion of directions, mechanisms, periods for development of public health service, which activity will assist reinforcement of top-priority for preventive direction in the sphere of health care, reduction in indices for sickness rate, disability and death of the population, increase in duration of life.

The chairperson in Committee of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on issues of health care Olga Bohomolets, deputy chairpersons – Iryna Sysoyenko, member in Committee Oleksii Kyrychenko; doctor, public leader Oleh Musiy; deputy Minister of health care of Ukraine Ihor Pereginets; members in international interdepartmental working group at MHC of Ukraine on development of draft Concept for development of public health system, as well as the representatives from NAMS of Ukraine, State products consumers service of Ukraine, State sanitary epidemiological service of Ukraine, higher medical schools and facilities of postgraduate medical education of Ukraine, practical health care, public organizations took part in discussion of Concept for development of public health system in Ukraine.

National medical university was represented at discussion by head at department of labor hygiene and occupational diseases, corresponding member in NAMS of Ukraine professor Oleksander Yavorovskyy; head at department of health care organization and social medicine professor Tetiana Gruzeva; head at department of general practice (family medicine) professor Olga Barna; dean at medical faculty No 4, professor Ihor Pelyo, assistant professor at department of labor hygiene and occupational diseases Maksym Volodiy.

Ukraine undertook to develop the cooperation in the sphere of health care in order to improve the level in its safety and protection of human health as the prerequisite for stable development and economical growth, including applying the approach “health care in all policies of state”.

The versatile discussion of the project, worked out by representatives from international interdepartmental working group of MHC of Ukraine will assist to improvement of its structure and content filling-in that would become the guaranty for success of its future implementation.
