GERMAN DELEGATION VISITED THE DENTAL HEALTH CENTER AT NMU

On 21 January, 2017 the delegation of doctors from the International institute for Digital Dentistry, Cologne (Germany) visited the Dental Health Center at NMU. The meeting was attended by: Director of the Center, Professor Andrii Kopchak, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Research and Education, Professor Olesia Lynovytska, Dean of the Dental Faculty, Professor Nataliia Bidenko.

During the meeting, the German colleagues shared their experience with Ukrainian specialists about the insurance system in Germany and the new digital technologies in dentistry. In particular, senior researcher at the International institute for Digital Dentistry Jörg Michel lectured about “Possibilities of Digital Prosthetics: Example from Practice”: the application of modern technologies in implantology and prosthetics, the advantages of this methodology, and particularly, patients who do not have time to wait.

Emre Uysal, Leading specialist of the International Institute of Digital Dentistry lectured on “Health Insurance System in Germany”, which was about the state and private insurance systems of patients with dental diseases.

In addition, within the framework of the visit, a special emphasis was made on the organization of NMU students internship in the clinic in Cologne and ways for further cooperation.
