MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH WROCLAW MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

On 4th April 2017, Bogomolets National Medical University (NMU) and Wroclaw Medical University (Poland) have signed the Memorandum of understanding.

Wroclaw Medical University was represented by Vice-Rector for University Development, MD, PhD, Prof. Jacek Szepietowski, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, PhD, Prof. Małgorzata Sobieszczańska, Head of the International Relations Department Kamil Machera. From Bogomolets National Medical University at the meeting were present Rector of the Bogomolets National Medical University, Prof. Kateryna Amosova, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Research and Education, Prof. Olesia Lynovytska, Head of the Department for International Cooperation Hanna Malunova and Coordinator of Center of Polish-Ukrainian Scientific and Cultural Cooperation Ms. Maria Kuznetsova.

A number of issues, concerning the education systems of Poland and Ukraine, joint practical training between the students of Bogomolets NMU and the Medical University of Wroclaw, organization of internships for students, were discussed during the meeting.

This Memorandum is aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of students exchanges, internships for students and university staff.

Wroclaw Medical University (WMU) is one of the most famous state medical universities in Poland. WMU was established in 1950, since then, its graduates enumerate more than 16 thousand doctors and 5 thousand dentists. Now the University consists of 5 faculties: medical, dental, pharmaceutical, public health and professional development. The total number of clinical departments is 164, and 1093 teachers give classes.
