THE SUMMER REST IN SHC “MEDIC” IS OPEN
The first shift in sports and health camp “Medic” at O.O. Bohomolets National medical university started on 1, July, 2016, where the students and employees of university have a rest in summer. One shift will last 10 days. The rest for students of NMU is free.
The camp is located in the ecologically friendly area near the river Kozynka and suburb of Kyiv – Konche-Zaspa. This year it is planned to improve health for over 800 students in four shifts.
The rich program of rest is prepared for students. In particular, according to the words by chairman in trade union of students at NMU Vlasiy Pylypko, the sports games and competitions, different contests and entertainment, intellectual games have been waiting for them, for children – pictures on asphalt, sports days, and in the evening for students – review of films and discotheques. Every morning all who wish will do morning exercises. The Neptune’s holiday is planned once a shift.
The rest in summer three-, four-bed buildings this year became free of charge thanks to efforts by administration, in particular, rector of NMU, professor Kateryna Amosova and pro-rector on scientific pedagogical activity and perspective development, professor Oleksander Nykytiuk.
On the eve they performed the repair in the camp and arranged the territory: the external lighting was renewed, the buildings of sanitary facilities and toilets were repaired, the new toilet bowls and washstands were installed, the modern shower units for men and women were made, hot water supply was arranged and the new boilers were installed. One storey wooden buildings were equipped with furniture, bedding clothes and linen according to regulatory requirements.
In the territory of the camp there are the football, volleyball and basketball fields, playgrounds for children, tennis court, and grounds for track and field athletics. The administration provided with the sports tools for students – everything for physical development and active entertainment.
The chairman in trade union of students at NMU Vlasiy Pylypko told about the changes that took place in the camp. “Before the price of voucher was low for students because the fund of social insurance that sponsored the sanatorium-preventorium paid 90% from the cost of vouchers, and they took the decision to transfer the sanatorium-preventorium for summer period to the camp “Medic”. The number of vouchers was limited, i.e. 75 per shift that lasted for 21 days, with shift changes as only 2 shifts were possible. At the end of 2014 the fund of social insurance stopped financing, thus, in 2015 only 24 students managed to improve their health because of high cost of voucher. This year the situation is absolutely different: the university administration found the possibility for free health improvement of students, the uniform condition – the number of campers shall be not less than 200 per one shift. Let’s remind that there will be four such shifts, – emphasized the chairman in Trade union.
On the first day of shift they held the briefing on rules of behavior and internal regulations of campers at health and sports camp “Medic” to students.
It should separately be mentioned about canteen of camp “Medic”. The staff is friendly and smiling and according to the words by students the cooks cook the useful and extraordinary tasteful meals.
Such number of students has not been in the camp since 1957, since its establishment. The trade union of students at NMU and campers thank the administration for possibility to have a rest in ecologically friendly zone near Kyiv, to be in the bosom of sincere friends and to enjoy the nature.
