LECTURES USING THE INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA SYSTEM AT DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGICAL ANATOMY NO 2

During recent month the department of pathological anatomy No 2 performs the lectures in new 45 minutes format in discipline “pathomorphology” for students of the 3rd course in medical faculties No 3 and No 4 using the multimedia system for interactive survey of students online.

The students of medical faculty No 3 like such format of lectures, which allows them being not only attendants but active participants in lecture using the interactive computerized program for voting.

The innovative forms for performance of lecture, updated content and format of lecture are the strong factor of motivation for students during lectures. Traditionally, at the beginning of lecture, using the system for interactive survey, the students answer the questions, put by lecturer, see how the others answer. Usually, at the beginning of the lecture, until the whole material is not presented yet, the incoming questions cause to difficulties. But during the lecture the students more and more confidently give the right answer. Thanks to mastery in teaching at teachers in department of pathological anatomy No 2, at the end of each lecture, the students easily choose the right answers during interactive testing.

The students of medical faculty No 3 listened to interactive lectures on topics ”Hypertensive disease and symptomatic hypertensions. Cerebrovascular diseases”, “System diseases of connective tissues with autoimmunization”, “Acute diseases of respiratory organs”, “Diseases of the liver and bile-excreting system”, “Diseases of gullet, stomach and bowels”.

“First of all, although the topic is complex and saturated and necessary. We shall really understand, in the first turn, the mechanism for appearance, reasons and consequences of hypertensive disease. Now, this is a very frequent phenomenon and we as future doctors shall realize, what we will face in the future. Secondly, the interactive voting raised the interest to the process of lecture itself. I think, everyone could distract at lecture. Now, there is the spirit of self-improvement. There is the thought in mind: “It is necessary to answer correctly, and for that it is necessary carefully to listen to!” Well, of course, Serhii Hryhorovych with his active cooperation with audience could interest every present person! Thus, I am fully and completely satisfied with the new reading the lectures and I think that such lectures will be useful for each student!” – told Anastasiia Vavshkevych, student of the 3rd course in medical faculty No 3 after lecture on topic “Hypertensive disease and symptomatic hypertensions. Cerebrovascular diseases” using the system for interactive survey.

The lectures in new format with updated content and application of interactive multimedia system for students of the 3rd course in discipline “Pathomorphology” at department of pathological anatomy No 2 are going on.
