ІІІ all-Ukrainian congress with international participation “Personality in modern world”

The outstanding event in psychological life of Ukraine – III all-Ukrainian congress with international participation “Personality in modern world” took place on 20-22, November, 2014.

This year the congress was held during three days and included many different events: opening and plenary meeting, section meetings, round table and master classes. As well at plenary meeting they took video, thanks to which a great number of concerned people all over the world could watch the reports about newest approaches in psychological science.

The scientific practical significance of the congress was confirmed by the great interest in event on the part of specialists from Ukraine and all over the world, the composition of participants was very wide both geographically and scientifically. In particular, over 20 academicians and corresponding members in NAPS of Ukraine, over 100 doctors of science, over 150 candidates of science took part in the conference.

The congress was held thanks to efforts and ideological inspiration by academician in NAPS of Ukraine, director in G.S. Kostiuk Institute of psychology, dean at medical psychological faculty at O.O. Bohomolets National medical university, Doctor of Psychology, professor Maksymenko Serhii Dmytrovych.

The president in National academy of pedagogical sciences, Doctor of Philosophy, professor Kremin Vasyl Grygorovych, director in scientific research institute of State Frontier Service of Ukraine, major general Polischuk Mykhaylo Mykolayovych; head at chief administration of work with military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, major general Chubenko Ivan Mykolayovych; rector in National academy of internal affairs of Ukraine, lieutenant general Doctor of Law, professor Cherney Volodymyr Vasylyovych; professor of psychology in University Saint-John Fisher College,, c. Rochester, New York state, USA, foreign member in NAPS of Ukraine Trach Roman Stanislavovych; Doctor of Psychology; assistant professor at department of public health care in John-Paul II Catholic University in Lublin, Poland and many others took part in opening ceremony and plenary meeting. In total 18 reporters took part in the plenary meeting.

The chairman in organizing committee, academician in NAPS of Ukraine, director in G.S. Kostiuk Institute of psychology, professor Maksymenko Serhii Dmytrovych during plenary meeting made the report on topic “Theory of psychology on proto-need in life energy”, from which the participants learnt about the need as an energy intensive information flow, which specifically unites the biological and social determinants (components) and acts in the form of lifelong driving force for self-development of human – personality.

7 section meetings, devoted to different directions of psychological science, were held within the Congress: Theory and methodology of psychology: view into the future; Designing and forecasting the development of personality; Psychology in modern educational space; Professional establishment of personality; Psychology of creativity and cleverness; Personal transformations and their reflection in applied psychological researches; Medical psychological and psychotherapeutic aspects of psychological aid. In total 400 reporters made the speeches at section meetings.

The practical part of the congress was presented by 6 master classes, at which the participants could improve their own practical skills in the sphere of work in stressful situations and other important directions. The issues about health of personality were discussed at round table “Ecopsychological paradigm of health of personality”.

The participants in congress came to the conclusion that the congress is extremely useful and urgent in terms of the problems that are faced to the country and psychological sphere. Due to the results from congress they generated the resolution, which after specification will be promulgated and sent to state authorities.
