GRANT OFFERS FROM “BAYER” SCIENCE AND EDUCATION FOUNDATION
This year “Bayer” Company grants EU 350 000 to implement the research projects in the sphere of natural sciences, chemistry and medicine to students, postgraduate students and teachers all over the world. This program anticipates the possibility to perform the research work, study and probation at any university or clinic in Germany.
O.O. Bohomolets National medical university this year is included into the list of universities, which students, postgraduate students, employees and graduates are entitled to take part in the competition.
The acceptance of applications has already been started and lasts until 18, July, 2016.
Grant programs from Bayer Science and Education Foundation :
Otto Bayer scholarship
Is granted to students, Master’s Degree students, postgraduate students for:
§ study courses,
§ individual laboratory researches,
§ summer schools,
§ performance of scientific research work,
§ probation,
§ preparation of master’s work or dissertation (PhD)
due to directions:
· biology, molecular biology
· biotechnology, bioengineering and bioinformatics
· chemistry, biochemistry
· pharmacy and research of medicines
The applicants shall demonstrate the active scientific research and social position, the average score is higher than the average level, high level of motivation and original idea for scientific project, which is very urgent and valuable for Ukrainian science and society.
Carl Duisburg scholarship:
Is granted to students, Master Degree students, postgraduate students, interns for:
§ probation (internship) as a doctor
§ specialization in clinical disciplines
§ laboratory researches
§ clinical tests
§ PhD projects
Due to directions:
§ Medicine
§ Medical engineering
§ Health care
The applicants shall demonstrate high interest in improvement of medical competence; the average score is higher than the average level, high level of motivation and original idea for scientific project, which is very urgent and valuable for Ukrainian science and society.
Kurt Hansen scholarship
Is granted to students, Master Degree students, postgraduate students, teachers for:
§ Specialized study courses
§ Summer schools
§ Research classes
§ Probations
§ Preparation of master’s work, PhD dissertation or scientific project.
Due to direction:
§ Teaching methods of scientific disciplines
The applicants shall demonstrate high interest in improvement of teaching mastership; the average score is higher than the average level (for students), high level of motivation and original idea for scientific project, which is very urgent and valuable for Ukrainian science and society.
German Stranger scholarship
Is granted to young specialists in the sphere of health care (working experience up to 5 years), administrative workers for:
§ Acquiring the working experience at foreign medical establishments (probation at clinics, performance of clinical tests).
The duration of participation in any program is from 2 to 12 months.
The grant covers the study/performance of research, travel expenses, accommodation and boarding.

NB! The guaranty for successful application is the innovative idea of project and persuading substantiation of its actuality and novelty for Ukrainian system of health care.
It is desirable to receive the consent from scientific/educational/medical establishment in Germany to accept you for study/scientific or medical probation before submitting the application for grant.
The independent scientific commission will define the scholarship holders at the beginning of September 2016. The study/probation in Germany may start since spring summer semester of 2017.
