EXPERIENCE OF LEADING HIGHER SCHOOLS ALL OVER THE WORLD IN UKRAINE: WHICH INNOVATIONS O.O. BOGOMOLETS NMU IMPLEMENTS
The national higher schools adopt the world standards for organization of educational process. The National Medical University actively takes the tendencies. The material technical base is updated here and the powerful international projects are implemented.
The experience of American, Swedish, Polish and other leading schools all over the world is already in Ukraine. Thanks to reinforcement of international activity O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University uses the best practices in scientific and educational process. They implement the programs in the sphere “Public Health”; update the approaches to practical classes using the newest material technical base.
The pro-rector in international relations and scientific pedagogical activity at O.O. Bogomolets NMU Olesia Linovytska told: “The university established the powerful simulation center, equipped with high quality mannequins, where the students can drill the practical skills actually due to all directions. At this center it is also planned to perform the objective structured clinical exam. By the way, this project is implemented together with Yagelon university.
At the university there is also the program for advanced study of English for teachers. So-called speaking clubs are organized for students. The bio resource center started its work last year under support from American Association of Microbiologists. “It is a large collection of different occupational American scientific journals and textbooks. That is each student of National Medical University can visit this center and use any sources of literature, which are available in it, and perform the joint seminars, webinars within this center”, – mentioned the chairman in council of Society of young scientists at university Stanislav Ustinov.
Among ambitious plans – to bring own scientific medical journal to the world level. This will facilitate the possibility for young scientists to be published, shares his plans Stanislav Ustinov. “We aimed so that this journal would get into the most known scientometric bases – they are Scopus and Web of Science. We insisted so that the university would support us and allocated about UAH 150 thousands so that this journal would be developed, so that this journal would be one of the leading in Ukraine”.
In general, during recent years Bogomolets University activated the youth projects and exchange programs. Here the financial remuneration was founded for the best dissertation, as well as some grants – for publications and scientific trips.
