OPEN DOORS DAY – FULL HOUSE AT NMU
The traditional Open Doors Day took place on 30, March in lecture hall No 2 in morphological building of National Medical University. The deans of faculties, teachers and students came to the regular meeting with potential applicants and their parents.
The completely crowded lecture hall testified that many young people wish to receive the medical education at our higher school. Before start of the meeting we got acquainted with some members in the meeting. We were glad that in addition to Kyivans many residents from different regions of Ukraine came to the capital. Thus, Sofiia Kniazeva came from Severodonetsk, Liza Lynnyk from Dnipro, Dariia Habinet from Khmelnytskyi region, Sofiia Nyshpora from Cherkassy region and Yuliana Bovsunovska from Zhytomyr. One more pleasant fact – many present participants in meeting are the graduates from this year, who pretend for the golden medal. Although today the medal is not the determinative factor for entry to the university but as practice proves the medalists receive high scores in EIA. Thus, young peopled with serious intents gathered in the lecture hall. As young residents in city Brovary that is in Kyiv region Olha Slyzhuk and Mariia Tymko assured us, they perceive the today’s event as the first real step to realization of their dream.
The presidium at the head with deputy head at admission commission professor V.S. Melnyk made everything to persuade all present people in correctness of their choice. Volodymyr Stepanovych accentuated the attention to historical aspects of higher school with glorious 175 years old history, to traditions and today’s achievement of university, in particular to implementation of the best European and world educational experience into educational process. The speeches by deans to a certain degree reminded on battle for future applicants. They easily persuaded the attendants that they can receive the best occupation in medical sphere namely at their faculty.
The representatives from medical psychological faculty performed the special powerful team. Dean M.M. Filonenko invited the assistant professor, PhD K.S. Yarembash and six year students Sofiia Lahutina to make the speech. They on their own experience proved that the occupation of psychologist with every year acquires more and more popularity in our country and is now the urgent and worthily paid specialty.
The dean of medical faculty No 3, professor O.V. Vyhovska told that future pediatricians have the possibility to receive not only the diploma of children’s doctor but the narrow specialization in versatile occupation of doctor-pediatrician. The third year student, active member Anastasiia Vavshkevych supported her dean. She told that during the study the students have the unique possibility to communicate with children at hospital at specialized children’s establishments and on volunteer basis to take care of young generation.
The secretary of admission commission professor Yu.P. Marushchenko told in details about peculiarities for admission campaign in 2018 and about admission rules to NMU. Despite the completeness and inclusivity of speeches the attendants had many questions. The communication with future applicants was continued after officially allocated time. On the same day each guest of university received the comprehensive answer to its question.
