APPEAL BY RECTOR KATERYNA AMOSOVA

On 22, October, 2014 the Higher Specialized Court of Ukraine rejected the cassation by V.F. Moskalenko about reinstatement at the post of rector in NMU and left the judgment by Court of Appeal in c. Kyiv, dd. 30.07.2014, without changes, having emphasized that this judgment is not subject to appeal.

During these three months the active group of teachers, students and administration of our university in the information space defended the rights of the collective in recall of their ex-head by democratic way through secret voting, for release from wrong traditions of corruption, shady deals with state funds and humiliation of human dignity.

My great gratitude to all members of our university community, who took part in this activity and expressed their public position!

On behalf of our collective let me sincerely thank Yuriy Mykhaylovych Shcherbak, Olga Bogomolets, Sviatoslav Vakarchuk for support and all members in respected Supervisory Board, heads of two ministries – Serhii Kvit and Oleg Musiy, as well as all solidary members of medical community and many others, who are not medical men and who took their efforts in our struggle for university democracy and qualitative education in Ukraine.

The special gratitude to our highly professional lawyers – Valentyn Gvozdiy, Angelica Sytsko and all collective of legal firm “Gvozdiy and Oberkovych”. You are the best!

We are grateful to the judges of the Higher Specialized Court for steadfast observance of the law and taking the fair judgment.

The separate gratitude to the patriotic newspaper “Day” and all honest mass media, which struggle against corruption and for better independent Ukraine!

Distinguished colleagues, dear friends!

Ukrainian society during this difficult period has been waiting for qualified doctors, professional medical aid and the possibility to be proud of Ukrainian scientists. Who – if not we?

P.S. Finally, I will continue doing all that depends on me in order all infringements, which contain the features of corruption that occurred when V.F. Moskalenko occupied the post of rector, would receive the proper legal assessment by competent authorities. The losses in the amount of many millions, incurred by our university, which were fixed by State financial inspection of Ukraine in September of this year, shall be repaid.
