ABOUT PROBATION UNDER IFMSA SCOPE PROGRAM
Ukrainian youth medical students’ association offers the unique possibility to pass through probation at the best clinics of the world under IFMSA SCOPE program!
What is that program?
Standing Committee on Professional Exchange (SCOPE) is the committee of International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) that performs the clinical exchanges for students of the 4th-6th courses.
The probation anticipates the work of student as a doctor assistant in a certain department of clinic. The student takes part in medical rounds, examinations of patients, assists during medical diagnostic procedures, surgical operations that lasts for 4 weeks.

Who can take part in probation?
1. All students of the 3rd-6th courses that study at HMS SCOPE active committees of UMSA
2. Students of the 3rf-6th courses that study at HMS SCOPE inactive committees of UMSA but are the members in UMSA (providing that there is the confirmation letter from chairman of local committee).
The participants in exchanges pass through difficult multi stage selection, thus the association enables the best students of Ukraine to implement their potential and worthily to represent our country at world arena.
Stages in performance of contest
Stage І – assessment of forms (01.11.2015 – 31.12.2015)
Stage ІІ – English testing (15.01.2016 – 20.01.2016)
Stage ІІІ – assessment of test results and definition of finalists (20.01.2016 – 29.02.2016)
Stage IV – execution of documents of finalists for exchange (01.03.2016 – 31.05.2016)
Undoubtedly, such probation abroad is the invaluable experience for any student. This will not only significantly improve the level of occupational knowledge and assist to development of personal qualities (leadership, team spirit, communicability) and bring many positive impressions!
In order to take part in the contest for exchange one shall fill in the form on the site of organization, having previously prepared the documents, necessary for download (motivation letter, scanned copies, letter-confirmation for activity in UMSA).
