DOCTORS FROM PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA PASSED THROUGH PROBATION AT NMU

The group of 10 doctors from people’s hospitals in Gansu province had the probation in order to improve the qualification due to profiled specialties (neurology, dentistry) at our university since 25.12.2015 until 01.04.2016 within the cooperation between Department of health care in Gansu province, University of traditional Chinese medicine in province Gansu (PRC) and O.O. Bohomolets NMU. According to probation program the specialized departments of O.O. Bohomolets NMU organized the events of academic practical character, during which Chinese doctors had the possibility to get acquainted with the national achievements and medical methodologies that are practiced in Ukraine now.

In particular, the probation of Chinese doctors was held at clinical bases of departments of therapeutic dentistry, orthopedic dentistry, children’s therapeutic dentistry and prevention of dental diseases, surgical dentistry and facial surgery, orthodontics and propedeutics of orthopedic dentistry, physical rehabilitation and sports medicine, neurology, neurology and rehabilitation medicine at NMU.

The probation program in neurology included the theoretical and practical aspects for assessment of health status and physical training of human in general and sportsmen in particular according to the profile of neurological departments of NMU, as well as the principles and practical aspects for physical rehabilitation of patients of therapeutic, surgical and neurological profile. It is necessary to mention that Chinese colleagues were extremely interested in teaching the subject and practical application of forms and means of rehabilitation only in terms of evidence and according to modern European clinical recommendations in cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, pediatrics.

The scientific impartial approach to definition of tolerance to loads and assessment of quality of life in the context of inseparable process for treatment and rehabilitation of patients with different profile turned out to be a certain discovery for trainees, despite their clinical experience for many years. And the discussion of clinical cases at polymorphic patients and extrapolation of clinical experience at teachers of departments to similar cases in practice of Chinese doctors caused to sincere delight at foreign colleagues. The doctors from province Gansu mentioned the welcome reception and practically useful classes that shall become the warranty for further cooperation.

The doctors-dentists from PRC during probation got acquainted with the newest technologies in the sphere of dentistry at profiled departments of Dental medical center of NMU, and namely: with modern methods for diagnostics and treatment of the main dental diseases, including ultrasound and laser treatment in endodontics and periodontics, implant prostodontics, orthodontic treatment, methods for directed osteoregeneration in periodontics, dental implantation, kinds of implants, benign odontogenic and non-odontogenic tumors of jaws, deformations and defects of lower jawbone, paradontal surgery, preprosthetic surgery. Chinese doctors were present at reconstructive restorative interferences, assisted at removal of tumor in upper jawbone, made the part of typical stage at operation.
