THE DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGICAL ANATOMY No 2 STARTED ITS WORK
The study of students at newly established department of pathological anatomy No 2 started on 8, February, 2016 at O.O. Bohomolets National medical university. The establishment of the new department took place in order to fulfill the decision by Scientific council about reorganization of department of pathological anatomy, dd. 24, June, 2015.
The following persons took part in the event: pro-rector in scientific pedagogical work, assistant professor Olena Stechenko, dean of medical faculty No 3, assistant professor Oksana Vygovska, teachers, laboratory assistants of department and students.
The acting head at department of pathological anatomy No 2 is Doctor of Medicine, professor Gychka Serhii Grygorovych. The new department will be included into medical faculty No 3.
The study will be held in 7 classrooms, each of which will include 14-16 students, as well as there is the section unit, laboratory with the newest technologies for experiments. The lecture halls are located in three clinical bases of Kyiv city clinical hospital No 1, Kyiv city medical center “Academy of human health” (Kharkivske shoes, 121) and Municipal city clinical hospital of emergency medical services (Bratislavska str., 3). At present moment 8 pedagogical workers and 2 laboratory assistants work at department. The methodic department, 2 rooms for teachers and assistant professors, as well as the office of head at department are equipped for employees of department.
The head at department of pathological anatomy No 2 Serhii Grygorovych Gychka read the first lecture on topic “Anemia. Thrombocytopenia and thrombocytopathy. Coagulopathy” to the students at medical faculties No 3 and 4. According to the words by head at department “the important moment will become the fact that the students will be taught to perform the life-time diagnostics of pathological processes and diseases”.
The department will first of all become the original scientific methodic center for education of young specialists and doctors”
