CHARITABLE REPLENISHMENT OF LIBRARY STOCK

In Ukraine there is the old tradition that during hard times non-indifferent people nobly sacrifice their resources to support the medicine. Thus, in 1945 the library stock was renewed and replenished by more than 6 times in Kyiv that was liberated from Nazi thanks to professors, teachers, students and common Kyivans.

Experiencing now the hard times when the military action take place in the east of Ukraine, when in particular there is the need in qualitative medical knowledge, the library was gifted with 300 copies of textbook “Lecture course on general surgery”.

This edition was established and gifted by head at department of general surgery No 1, Doctor of Medicine, Professor O.I. Dronov and employees of department V.O. Syplyvyy, I.O. Kovalska, O.A. Skomarovskyy, Ye.A. Kruchyna. The textbook is designed for students of higher medical schools, medical faculties of universities, Masters, clinical residents, doctors.
