THE MEETING OF MANAGEMENT IN KCSA WITH MEDICAL COMMUNITY OF KYIV TOOK PLACE AT UNIVERSITY

What of medicine will be tomorrow in Kyiv – that was the topic for the meeting of medical community in the capital that took place on 15, April, 2015 at the conference hall in physical chemical building of University. The meeting was held by KCSA according to the appeal by Council of Kyiv trade union of health care workers.

The presidium consisted of deputy chairman in KCSA B. Radutskyy, head in health care Department of KCSA A. Arshkovych, head in trade union of medical workers in the capital L. Kanarovska, rector of NMU professor K. Amosova. In the busy hall there were nurses, doctors, medical officers. The topic of conversation touched the interests of patients, and those ones, who are responsible for their health, thus the activity of present people was high. The heads of medical department in Kyiv presented their understanding of changes in medical service of Kyivans. They consider that the alternative to the present state in medicine is the implementation of insurance medicine and re-distribution of available state financing, which shall be directed not to the number of beds but to a certain patient and the salary of doctors shall depend on his/her specialty and commitment. The heads of the capital assured that Kyiv will not have any closed medical establishment and they have to prove their efficiency and quality in practice.

The participants in the meeting had many questions, in particular in relation to these changes, the dissatisfaction of the previous reforms was emphasized, and there were many public appeals to the chairman in KCSA V. Klychko. The meeting once again demonstrated that there were no indifferent people to the state of medicine in Kyiv and in the country in the whole. There is the understanding that this way will be hard and long. And how quickly we achieve the positive improvements depends not only on the power, officers but the whole medical community.
